Hey all... I've been absent as of late. My family and I have moved from Longview TX back to the great state of Oklahoma. It has been a trying experience as moving always is. While I am very excited about being back in okieland I'm sad to leave Longview. We have lived in Longview for almost 10 years and are leaving most of our friends behind. I had an awesome crew to hang with every Wednesday evening and Dzrtrat and myself enjoyed a lot of fine cigars together.

Edmond OK is my new home now and I am sure there are some fine BOTL's around here. If anyone knows where all the good B&M's and places to have a cigar are please let me know.

Its good to be back, in the jungle and okieland.:cb

Glad to hear you're getting settled in, Brad. Looking forward to the next time you're down this way.

Ahh, Oklahoma...where the wind blows and blows and blows... :tu I lived in Oklahoma twice and really enjoy the people. My daughter lived in Enid for a while. The only problem I had with that was I couldn't find a good cigar store while there. My ex son in law thought he knew of one, but it turned out to be a tobacco outlet that had some machine mades, but no good cigars. (Oh, well, he's now an ex.) :cb Anyway, welcome back and good luck in Oklahoma.

Welcome Back! So when are you going to make it back to Fort Worth?

Well I wish it were going to be tonight. Trudy tells me you guys are getting together for a little herf action. I know ya'll are gonna have a great time.

I should be in the FTW area once a month or so but getting settled here and the fact that I will be on a cruise the week of the 21st will probably keep me from getting down there this month.

There must not be any good B&M's or places to have a cigar in OKC, or people are trying to keep them to themselves??

Hello to a fellow Okie. I am in NW OKC. There was a post recently about cigar events coming to Oklahoma soon. One will be at Revalations on 39th st. The other will be in ZT Cigars.

Although, I am not sure what B&M's are. :dr

Glad to hear that a BOTL has moved nearby!!! I posted a thread in the HERF Section that lists a few events coming to Oklahoma City and surroundings. let's hook up and herf it up bro!

The first event is at Revolution on May 18th - Chateua Real will be sponsoring it. Revolution is located at 39th & Portland, Oklahoma City Phone: 405-943-2876

Also, I am hosting a KASR Herf Party very soon. I was going to do it for May 12th, but I have my b'day coming up in June...might just do it then and host my annual b'day party and make it a herf party as well - we'd love to have you there!!

ZT Cigars on Meridan has a nice little area to sit, relax and Herf. From Edmond, just take 44 south, turn west on I-40 to Meridan - turn right on Meridan - past Reno - it's in a business park to your right....can't miss their sign!

My locals there are The Tobacco Exchange in the massive strip mall at the corner of 63rd and May and Cigar & Company Tobacco Room is just a few blocks north of 63rd on May on the west side of the street.

Tobacco Exchange has a great selection and is my main shop, really small, one or 2 guys decide to sit and smoke and the herfin opportunity is full :) Humidor is great tho, you can normally smoke off the shelf without worries.

I love the big dude at C&C Tobacco Room, great guy to chat with over a stogie but again, no real lounge. I only drop in there to pick up Padilla or Tatuajes as the other spot doesn't carry them.

Revolutions is a bit far South maybe (39th and Portland) but I've been meanign to go there for some time now. One of the soccer teams I play with heads to the bar next door after games and have told me it's nice and has more of a sit down opportunity. Wen there last weekend and they were closed, must have a been a Sunday.

The only real cigar lounge I know of is Makers right across from the Bricktown Ballpark. Their website kills me tho, turned me off big time. Still, like to drop in sometimes if I had a bunch of buddies to pass the time with, wouldn't hang my hopes on the "Makers Experience" :)

Looks like we've got a contract on our house so I should be moving OUT of OKC soon

If you ever get to Tulsa there is a great place called the Tobacco Pouch, if it is still owned by the same guy, it is one of the best shops I have ever been in. they had a couple large walk in humidors, and lockers you could rent for a very reasonable price. When I still lived in Tulsa I was in there at least twice a week. I still try and stop in whenever I am out that way, my mother lives in Stillwater. Unfortunately I haven't been in there for over 6-7 years or so. It sit's on Lewis, between 51st and 61st, right hand side of the road if you are heading towards 61st. It's in a shopping center that I can't remember the name of, the entire center has an old world English look to it.

He had a few nice rooms to sit and relax in, one had giant big screen TV in it, the other was just a nice quiet place with a few high back chairs where you could smoke in silence. Sometimes, someone (me included), would bring in a nice bottle of single malt, sit it on the table and just let people help themselves. Used to, he had beer on tap, for free, as long as you were smoking cigars purchased in his joint. It's wasn't the best beer, bud or sumsuch. But beer is like sex and pizza, even when it is bad, it's still pretty good.

Place was heaven, and I miss it. :tu

Hey man they just opened a B&M across the street from our house. We could walk!!! I will await your presence before making the first trip across the street. There is a rumor of a memorial ranch trip. For some reason the spouses feel Mothers Day is a weekend better spent home. Still trying to figure that one out.

Glad your settled in and perhaps weekend after next we could cruise up for a visit and house warming cigar.

Later,
