ALL OKIES......Report

Maybe you should study up on reading comprehension in that therrrr state. Head to head matchups in CONFERENCE championships:

Bill Snyder's KSU 1-0 Bob Schtoop's OU

I guess your 2000 loss to OU head to head in the conference championship slipped your mind.

As for our zero national championships, we were close twice in hoops but constantly ran into some of the best teams in history when we were good enough to win it all. We lost to Adolph Rupps 1951 team in the championship game, and in 1988 we were favored to beat KU in the elite 8, but they beat us and went on to win it all.

As for us not having any national championships.

Just being an okie is all you need to be a winner

Well, I'm not from Oklahoma, but have some great Aunts and Uncles that lived and died there from Pryor and Stillwater. Spent many memorable winters and summers in that great state, crappie fishing at Grand Lake and quail hunting in the farming fields in and around Pryor. They (the relatives) aren't with us any longer, but the smell of Aunt Dorothys pecan pies and blueberry cobbler and Uncle Glenn spinning wild tales around the checker board still is...:cb

I was born in Pryor and have family around that part. I lived in Stillwater for about 10 years.

I have lived in Cushing for about 8 years now, and drive to Stillwater every day for class. I enjoy living here and moving from TX the okies aren't as bad as everyone thinks!:tu I really like the people here. This is a cool thread too.
