An Apology..to all..

As many of you know, I have been in the spotlight recently because of the way I went about resolving an issue with another member(s). I was fired up at the time, not to mention a bunch of other not-so-great things were going on in my life. No excuses though....how I handled the situation was no good, for sure. I was angry for the wrong reasons, and I failed to look at the situation fully, and I also just lost sight of my morals and good judgement. For that, I am sorry.

I am also sorry for how I let individuals, well, at least two people, send me cigars or cash to make up for this. Again, wrong. While I cannot really correct this, I did promise a certain member that I would post reviews of some smokes once I had the chance to have a couple. I will do that this weekend when I am at my parents' condo in the Ozarks. I do promise that I will repay these individuals with some nice sticks once I get an inventory back.

For those of you who think I am spending money I don't have, or who think I am spending money foolishly, you are right and wrong. I spend a few dollars here and there are cigars, when I can. Obviously, I am in the saving mode right now with a wedding coming up. However, I do know what I can and cannot afford. It's hard to see when you are not in my shoes, but I wanted to try and explain.

I am TRULY a decent guy. I, like all of us, have my moments, and I will not deny that one bit. I never meant to harm anyone, but I did, and I realize I have to live with that. I have talked with several members here via PM, and they have encouraged me to stay. I think I will, but maybe it would be wise to lay low for a little and make sure things are OK.

I am truly sorry for the problem I caused...I want to try and make it right, and admitting I was wrong is the first step, in my mind. You are a good bunch of guys and gals, and lord knows I wouldn't be very educated about cigars had I not started here. So, I'll be more careful with purchases in the future and not be so quick to jump on a buy. Thanks to all for everything you have taught me. I hope this does at least something....

i for one was glad to read your latest post...first since it indicates you're thick-skinned enough, and second cause it seems you've given some thought to feedback. (changing your actions based on feedback is up to you... but it seems you were open minded enough to consider "opposing" viewpoints.)

I leave on vacation and miss all the fireworks! Ah, it's better that way anyway. Testicular fortitude; a whack to the Jimmies that helps define who we are. Glad to have ya about.
 
I guess I joined the forum a little late. Can't say that I am sorry to have missed the fireworks and hope that all sides involved can work through it.

Well now that I got that out of the way, I'm happy to see some of you guys can handle yourself in such a good way. Instead of others who throw around names like 'pugnacious pickle' and 'Avo tubos head' you choose to write a sincere apology. Good move.

I'm such a slow starter so by the time i feel ready to jump on the bandwagon in a internet brawl it's already over and apologies exchanged.... Oh, well -maybe i'm faster next time!

I think the majority of people here have made some mistake that would eclipse that situation, so I think everyone could possibly move on without too much contempt. I'll tease you about it though!
 
Tease away...lol thanks for the kind words, everyone. I just got a little bonus, so maybe a little lunchtime smoke to celebrate being back here...:) Cheap, of course! ;)

Exactly. It takes a bigger person to admit a mistake than it takes to point one out. My respect for Brett has certainly risen.
 
Hopefully you guys will give the same grief to hollyweird for being a slackass and not living up to his word.

If he stiffed me, even for only a dollar, it would have been a lot worse.
 
Brett, I am rather new yet to this board and to be honest Ihad no idea there was even a problem. I will say this however, it taks a real man to stand up and say he is sorry and explain what went on and for that I tip my hat to you sir. I do sense what you went through as I had my own experience on another board and in turn did similar the type of appology as you did but Iwas not as refined and not as in depth as you. Anyway, enough said and glad you are still here.
