nubs coming your way:ss
My problem with many Pepins is that once I put them in the dry box I get impatient and grab them in a day or two and get disappointed.
When I let them sit for a week or so they are great. My example for today--a Pepin Blue that I kept my hands off for a whole week. There was pepper I hadn't tasted before and the finish (which had never done much for me before) became smooth and very very good. I almost burned my fingers off trying to nub it.
When they are dry they just have taste that wasn't there before. I don't understand it, but that is how it is with the Pepins.
I like them, but don't listen to me... I like Gurk's too. :ss
My buddy is sending me some Blacks, and I look forward to those because I've heard so much. If those fail to live up to the hype, I'm going to be really let down.
MUHAHAHAHAHA, come over to the Pepin darkside...:ssThis ^post inspired me to grab a brown (had a seccond band, reserva?) that Mr Silly sent me and damned if it ain't the bee's knees. Tastes like a Cuban Bolivar a bit, even has a deceptive flaky ash albeit white white. Not a bad cigar at all.
See there, dangerous to write something off completely
