Yes, my brothers - Anejos do happen in something besides onesies-twosies. Not often, but they do. If you travel enough, walk into enough B&Ms, ask questions politely, try to do good deeds, drink enough coffee, never hit your cats, ignore receipts (ALWAYS ignore receipts) indulge your wife... and try to never be an evil doer.

And then one day. Poof!

Freaked me out. A box of 46's (less 4/ea) at MSRP just for asking. Had to happen sooner or later. I wonder if they smoke as nice as they look? Damn! And I do so enjoy a punchy maduro.

What to do - what to do?
Smoke 'em?
Sell 'em?
Bomb 'em?
Save 'em?

I will think on this for a while and am open to suggestions.
 
Congrats! Many times your not even allowed to buy a box of these because of the exlusiveness. Either that or you pay an arm and a leg for em! Let them sit and see how they taste over time (if you can resist) Once again congratualtions on the great pick up and enjoy them!:ss
 
For goodness sakes, Dan, resist your natural urges to put them in a roaster, grind them up, and run them thru a French Press!!! I doubt they will fulfill their potential using that consumption method!!:r

I had a cigar a few years ago and wrote a review. :D

RolinRandy recently asked me why I could not break out of the Coffee Forum and come around to chat with the leaf burners. Hey. I was just waiting for an orginal thought about cigars. I am still workiing on that - but the maduro find was hard not to mention.
 
Burn one and age the rest. Then you should have the profile and characteristics of the Anejo from newbie to old age. At MSRP it is a very good purchase. :2

Not only a great find/purchase but at this time of year! You lucky dog. I was very lucky to score a box of #55 back around X-mas, well above MSRP, but stock has now long been depleted (from retailers, not my stash). The excitement of that find won’t go away for a while.:ss Enjoy it. Congratulations again on those sweet smokes.
 
I say when you get a perfect lemony roast on your yirg you should celebrate with your new find:tu . That should give them a while to sit and rest. Guess even when you take it outta the forum, the forum comes to you.
