Anyone seen this before?.... My poor Paddy!

Woop Woop Root Rat
Anyone seen this before, I got a Padron 4000 to try and the thing looks like its about to unravel. The wrapper seems very loose, I'm not sure if this is due to poor construction or it has really dried out, its been in my humi for almost a week (came through the post) but doesn't seem to be getting any better. I'm sure it will smoke ok, or land in a screaming heap in my lap when I do try to smoke it, just curious as I have not come across this before. Any ideas? P.S. It looks worse in real life, the photos seem to be doing it some justice!

I have seen this before....on a Padron at a local shop.

Do a search for pectin or cigar glue here on CS, I know IHT had a good post where he touched-up some cigars.

i had the same cigar a weeks ago. a friend of mine bought it in the dominican republic. he had 3 and we didnt smoke then til about 2 weeks after he got back. all of them were fine and he doesnt even have a humi. maybe its just bad luck.

I've had the occaisonal edge lift up like this.
When it happened to me, the worst that happened was that when the burn got to that point in the cigar, the wrapper didn't burn where it was sticking out, since it wasn't close enough to the rest of the cigar. After it started to stick out a bit, I just pulled out the lighter and burned it off.

Same here. Except for the minor irretation of having to touch up the burn a bit, if that's the only problem, it shouldn't affect your smoking experience in the least.

That has happened to a few of my sticks...I usually just lick the wrapper until it gets pretty wet and it should stick that way. Has always worked for me!

Once got a cabinet box back in early '98. By the time it got to me it was sooo beat up, nearly half the cigars either had rips, tears, wrappers coming undone. It was a special box for me, a favorite (Partagas Lonsdale Cabinet).

Well, I wasn't about to throw it away after spending my hard earned money on it. What'd I do? Got some cigar glue and fixed all but two of those bad boys (which got thrown out). The majority of those sticks smoked just fine, and to this day, I still have a couple left (they've got some age now) that I look forward to smoking.
