Anyone Tried A Stradivarius?

All the reviews I have seen have been negative. It seems they are selling a name and a pretty coffin. If it is any consolation, the Strad Violins are priceless.:D

Lets keep in mind that just because you can get a cigar cheaper does not mean these cigars are not good. I can get a lot of cigars cheaper than Opus and Padron 1926, yet people dont jump on them with the "I can get a box of this and that for less".

The difference is that Opus and Padron 1926 are proven brands that score high on reviews, the stradivarius is more expensive (usually) than both of those brands, yet is not as good according to numerous gorillas on this board and other people that I have spoken to that actually tried one. For my money, I would rather get the bundle of Flor de Olivas than one cigar that's considered a dud. Hey, but if you like them, smoke them.

My point was, that rather than people piling on and saying that they would rather have this, or this than that, maybe people should try something. A proven track record means something, but every company starts somewhere. When people think premium Vodka, they think of certain brands. Most of those same brands were not available 20 years ago. New products come about everyday.

I've smoked 3 of them, one of each size. As of late I've been on a milder cigar kick and this definitely falls into that category.

There's really nothing wrong with this cigar but at the same time it is probably the sort of cigar I would recommend going out and buying a whole box of.

Excellent construction, even burn, consistent flavor.

I would say if you are going to smoke one, do it in the morning with a cup of hot tea. I don't know how it could be thought of as medium bodied, different tastes I suppose, but the first one I smoked I had about an hour after a Davidoff Millineum Toro (Mild to Medium Bodied) and a meatball sub (Italian Puro, Hand Rolled, Mixed Filler) and the flavor of the Stradivarius was still overpowered by the lingering taste of food and smoke. The second two I had in the morning. One with a cup of green tea and the other with an espresso. The Espresso was still too much for this stick, took too much flavor away. The tea however was a pretty good pairing. Neither cigar nor tea suffered.

As for the price, I probably would have never smoked these except for the fact that I work in a cigar store. xD $32 for the Robusto Major in AZ. $36 for the Churchill. I think not. That's the better half of a bottle of Talisker.
