Appreciating a cigar

Dom

Hey Stugots
Wanna see what some fellow gorrillas think about this (long story)....

SO me and a buddy go up to Cousin's Cigar, our b&m lookin for something special to have saturday with another BOTL , just kind of as a special occasion (we're both begginners still)I picked up a box of Padron 2000's and a box of AF Chateau Fuente, my new go-to's.

Anyways, for this special occasion smoke we looked high and low, all throughout the humidor. We finally settled on some Padilla 1932 signature Churchills that the owner recommended, and had sitting in his own humi since '06.

SO anyways, this buddy of mine (known him since we were 6) goes out the same day and smokes this thing on his way home from working out at fitworks, like it's some fking black and mild, i just cant understand why you wouldnt take the time to sit and enjoy ANY cigar let alone that one.

Should I be pissed off at this guy or not??? What would some of yous do if you witnessed a fine cigar not receiving the respect and appreciation that it deserves?

I smoke some very "nice" cigars in my car on the way home. Doesn't really make a difference to me you don't need to sit and reflect on a cigar everytime you smoke one.

well, the prob. is that we decided were gonna enjoy these things inside in our buddy's smoking room before we even bought them, and enjoy a nice afternoon smoke. but he goes and has half of it in his truck on the ride home.

idk maybe im bein a bitch about it

I'd sit and enjoy the chit out of your 1932.
Appreciation is subjective and unless YOU bought that cigar that he smoked, and it was specifically for THAT occasion I wouldn't worry about it.

I can kind of see your point.. but the reality is each person smoke and appreciate there cigar in different ways.. there is no law in a way to enjoy cigars.. but like what was mention above he did kind of spoil the mood for yall get together to smoke this cigar.. maybe in this case he should have chosen a different cigar if yall had specific plans to smoke the 1932 padilla... :tu

Maybe it wasnt the best thing to do if you had already agreeed on when you were going to smoke them, but if he enjoyed it, i dont see too much of a problem...i mean you still have yours right?

Enjoy yours as you would like, with or without him :D

James

I'd be upset becuase you guys were saving them... otherwise we all enjoy cigars differently. :ss

I understand you being miffed. You have to remember, friend or not it takes more then enjoying a cigar to be a true BOTL. Take it as a lesson and move on.
Any of us that posted on this thread would have waited.I have no doubt.:)

Herfing with the S&BOTL's is a special thing. There's nothing much that compares for me :tu
