Redneck Primate
Ashton VSG Illusion 6.5 X 54
Construction: 9.5
Burn: 9.5
Flavor: 9.5
Draw: 10
Strength: Medium
This cigar did not have a lot of aroma pre-light. I was concerned, but tons of flavor emerged after I fired it up. Cedar, brown sugar, cloves. Reminds me a lot of the Decade but with a better finish. Sweet and silky smooth. I can tell we are really going to get along.
Would not hold much of an ash. I walked away for about 3 minutes once… never had to relight. Burn perfectly even.
Tons of smoke… easy draw.
1st half no noticeable flavor change. I am really enjoying this.
Last quarter: The sweet aftertaste is starting to build. I can’t tell if it’s getting sweeter or if it’s just overwhelming my taste buds. I also detect a little bit of pepper.
If the Decade is a 95 then this is a 96.
