any avo fans out there that can steer me towards their fuller bodied smokes? looking to try a few,any full, spicy smokes in their line? thanx

the base line is rated medium to mild
the Domaine line is rated medium to full
The XO line is rated as medium

This is according to Holt's website, enjoy

I need to pick some of these up as well...anyone know of anyone running any specials on these? Never seen these on Joe Cigar...:r

You can see them from time to time on the Devil site. Other than that, I rarely see these on any sort of specials or sales other than standard catalog prices as different retailers.

AVO Signature are probably the best bet for getting a good deal, usually right around $60 from the Devil for the box.

or 5'ers, sometimes had for around $19-$22 a piece.

Boxes all typically make it to the $110-135 range.

Not that I am paying attention or anything.

(all of the above are just observations of the devil-site, not scientific facts)

As others have said, Domaine. I tried the Signature a long time ago and just didn't like the flavor...

I really like the Avo XO Notturno pc in the orange tubos. I would put it at a medium-light and just has a delightful flavor that, not surprisingly, reminds me of the Davidoff Aniversario no.3 without the hefty price tag. I know you are looking for a full but pick one up for a Saturday morning or something, you might surprise yourself and find you enjoy the slightly milder smoke for a change of pace.

yeah the XOs are good too but aren't full or spicy by any stretch of the imagination...

Try AVO 80th Anniversary

They're full bodied and lots of flavor - though it's pretty strong, I suggest you have a meal first before smoking this one.

I made a rookie mistake (due to dare :D) of smoking this in an empty stomach and paid dearly. The first half was full of flavors not too strong - spicy, earthy, and natural flavors, however, as you pass the 1/2 way the flavors became more intense and got more fuller all to the way to nub. As I was working it, I felt like I got punched in the head and got a little light-headed - but IT WAS WORTH IT!!!! A little groggy driving home. :ss

I agree with all, try Domaine as well.

The Avo 80th Limited Edition is the strongest Avo released so far. They are still avaliable, just google them. The new 787 is a bit stronger than Domaine from the regular line.

Enjoy,
