AVO LE 07 Review

Just came back from an excellent sushi restaurant with my wife and father. I was eager to sample the AVO LE07 tonight. First off I honestly feel this cigar will only get better with time. I'm very happy to have many boxes of these put away. The construction is top notch and the wrapper is rolled beautifully. I opened a fresh box and saw some plume on each of the cigars. I guess the place I got them from had them in an excellent environment. I barely cut the head off right at the wrapper before it got to too much of the tobacco itself. The draw was wonderful and the aroma had an amazing touch to it. I can't put my finger on it but its special. I just finished the cigar and am very satisfied. I highly recommend putting some of these away as they're becoming harder and harder to find. Although they're a 2007 cigar they aren't as readily available as they should be.

Nice review! Define "many boxes":tu

I was only able to get a few of these from my B&M and have yet to try any. Thanks for the review, I may have to put fire to one real soon. :ss

I had another AVO LE-07 tonight after work. I honestly think this will continue to get better with time. I'm definitely going to stock up on more boxes of this beauty. Trust me...this will be a 'must have' cigar in the coming years.

I agree, this is a great cigar that is getting harder and harder to obtain. Only 4000 boxes made and each box is numbered xxxx of 4000. Most of my boxes are numbered in the 40's and 60's. Went through a full box when they first came out and letting the others sleep for about a year or two.

Paul,

You're absolutely right. I've got 4 boxes resting in my Vinotemp and an opened box to smoke out of. A lot of people diss this cigar but I don't understand why. It has rich flavor and much stronger than the regular production AVOs. BTW, thanks for the auto'd box bro! Its one of the cornerstones in my tobacciana collection!

Avo releases a limited edition each year for a number of years now, and the LE07 is a nice ring 48 toro, 5 5/8 inch long with a nice yet little bumpy wrapper with a nice vein. This limited (only 4000 boxes) cigar as a light aroma and an easy, maybe to0 easy, predraw.

First I taste leather and then some cedar, with a dry feeling to it. There is a light pepper on the background and a bit liquorice like flavor too. Then the leather and cedar return to the surface again. After smoking half the cigar the pepper grows a bit in strength but it never overpowers the leather and cedar. There is not much progression in flavors, but the flavors are very consistent.

The draw is a bit too easy, the burn is great and the smoke is nice, white and full enough.

Would I buy this cigar again? If they were still available, yes.

now that i am obsessed with habanos, i have gotten rid of all my NC's. out of all of those davidoffs,opus-x,ESG's,etc. i only kept 2 boxes.
those were a box of AVO LE07's and a can of AVO 22's.
i believe these LE07's will be amazing in another 5 years or so. especially since they already taste pretty dang good.
