Awesome time in FLA w/ some CS guys

We stink....2-3...WTF
About 4 month ago, my friend Butch and I planned a trip to the Clearwater/Tampa area for some golf and a chance to catch some spring training baseball.

Then last week, I noticed that FishForFree, one of our fine brothers, lived in Clearwater, so I PMed him for some info on where to eat/smoke/etc. He got back to me with some great information including a Torano rolling event that was going on the day we arrived in the area. So after a quick check-in at the hotel and a bite to eat, we headed over to the event.

Once there, I had the honor to meet Scott (FishForFree) and Jon (jonny0783). Both were great guys. Seemed Scott knew the owner quite well as he grabbed some beers out of the back room for us. He also got the owner to pick my name out of the hat to win a Tonano ashtray. :r

And Scott had a surprise ready for me when I arrived.

And Jon took off before I could get a photo so this is just Scott and me.

Just a forewarning, expect retaliation, but I'll never tell when.

Thanks for the hospitality and the great bomb. Butch and I had a great time.

We did have a great time at the Torano event. Glad you won that ashtray my philly phriend!! :r

It's was a pleasure to meet mt first CS member from out of town.

Come on down anytime Steve & Butch!!

That's great guys. Love to hear my fellow Floridians impressed the visitors from the north.
I've been pushing a Florida Cigar Tour. There are CS members all over the great state of Florida.
You want to play golf at World of Golf, there are about ten CS members close by to help you see the sites.
Disney, CS members there to help.
Fishforfree, has Tampa covered.
Miami, no need to ask, it's covered.
The panhandle which is west Florida, covered.
Just say the word they will be there to assist you.
More cigar shops than seafood restaurants...well, I'm getting carried away now. But there are a lot of good cigar stores. And a lot more good people here.
Florida, come see us...it's where your grandparents moved to.:ss

sorry about hijacking the thread. I'm sorry.

Scott certainly has shown himself to be a very generous and hospitable gorilla! :ss

Gotta love meeting gorillas WHEREVER you find them. All the ones I have had the pleasure to meet and smoke with have been top quality folks. :tu

Thanks for the props. Scott truly is an awesome BOTL.

Golf was awesome and getting to Phillies spring training is always awesome. I did hear Scott mention Ybor City, but I don't really know anything about it. We spent most of our time in the Clearwater area.

This may become a yearly trip for me - if the wife let's me continue to do things like this after the baby arrives.

another outsider has a good time while in FL....................hats off to Clearwater for showing him a great time
