Backwoods good cheap cigar?

I'm still in high school so many times I end up having to resort to grabbing convienance store cigars because the local b&m is far and I can't store cigars at home. I usually get and if they don't have those, I get Dutch Masters. But on this site I've heard good things about Backwoods as a cheap little cigar. I was wondering if it was better than those other two options.

And also the database is down at Top25 cigar so I can't check exactly. But if memory serves me right Garcias were rated higher than arturo fuente curly heads. That didn't make sense to me.
 
I've been known to smoke a Backwoods or two but it's usually if someone has them and I don't have anything with me. There not horrible but far from great either and out of the choices you mentioned I would grab a Backwoods first. Another alternative you may want to look into is next trip to the B&M pick yourself up a tin of your cigar of choice that they have on hand. They are better quality than convenience store smokes and should not be too challenging to store.
 
I'd buy a 5-stick travel humidor and buy a few "good" sticks at the B&M. The travel humi should keep your sticks in smoking condition for a few weeks. The 5-stick travel humidor can be easily hidden from the parents:2.

I agree.
When I was that age I smoked Middleton Cherries from Sheetz while I was playing Galaga when I was supposed to be in typing class.
Come to think of it, that was probably the only time I wasn't in trouble, so I'm not sure if I agree or disagree now. :)
My guess is that the young man is 18 or has ID. They're super hardass about selling smokes to underagers here in my town in hillbilly PA.
If they're that progressive here you probably have to give a DNA sample everywhere else. :r
 
well i was 18 in highschool and that when i started smoking as well. I was lucky enough to have a b&m about 5 mins from the house.

I would also recomend a travel humi. talk to the guys at your local store they will help you out a lot. thats what started me down the slope. everytime i would go in i would tell them what i thought about the last cigar and they would suggest a different one. thats how i figured out what i liked. on cbid you can get a stock 5 stick herf a dor for like 30 bucks and under. :2
 
yeah i was 18 in highschool as well, and if he is buying from b&m and drug store i'm sure they are checking id, plus if it is acceptable for Cbid to merely put a statement of "by clicking 'yes' you are acknowledging that you are at least 18 years of age" then i think we can make our suggestions...

save your allowance, and buy an intro travel humi on cbid with smokes loaded in it...as i look right now in the CI catalogue they have the 16 legends sampler + humi for $60.00 delivered to your door...sounds like the way to go...or tupperware...man these kids never using there brains...:tu:):):):)

BTW, why is storage a problem? don't want moms getting all pissed at you?

Yeah, my mom doesnt like my dad doing it, let alone me. And even though the B&M is far, it's a really great one, so I hopefully they have a travelling humi because I cant have things shipped to the house. It is a great idea though, thanks to everyone that suggested it.

When I was a teenager I used to bum cigars off of my father.

(He stored them in the refrigerator and my first memory of cigars is that they were very _cold_.)

I like Backwoods myself. The Sweet and Aromatic or the Black Sweet and Aromatic are what I go for. They're Dominican, all natural, cheap and pretty tasty for a quick, cheap smoke that you can get almost anywhere. They're my car-gars. I would never smoke one at home or as an alternative to any of my good smokes, but in the car they make a good little stick, where I wouldn't smoke a good cigar.

They're great for the budgeted high-schooler. But I'm unique for my age group - I'm almost 19 and I own a business on top of another job, so I have ample income to invest in good stogies. But since I assume you do not, then Backwoods are a-okay, compared to your other choices. At least they're wrapped in an actual tobacco leaf...
 
So dad does or does not smoke them himself? I get mom doesn't like it but if dad has balls and does it anyway he might gladly make a little space in the humi for your stash. Everyone loves a smoking buddy and you are probably as convenient as it gets for dear old dad.

Also you could get a girlfriend to work part-time as a maid and steal good cigars from people like me.

My dad smokes cigars casually and doesn't have a humi. I don't know if he doesnt want me to smoke either or since my mom doesn't want me to, doesn't want to contradict.
