bad box of cigars

I recently purchased a box of Brocatus cigars from cigar bid. I have tried six now and they are unsmokeable. They are so tight and moist you get a headache sucking so hard. One actually had mold on it . I have tried a poker, letting them sit out of the humi, nothing seems to help. I called cbid a few minutes ago and left a message. Anyone ever have these problems ? Pat

Sounds like the cigars were over-humidified. See what C-Bid will do for you.

I don't know anything about the cigars; so I can't comment on their tendencies.

How long have you had them for. I know that when I get something from C-bid/CI I let them sit for at least 3 weeks. They ship their stuff waaaay too moist. I hope C-bid takes care of you. Let us know what they say.

I waited two weeks to try the first one . they are a month now. all of the other stuff I have got from them smokes fine .

I bought a bunch of those when I first found CI, and they were the same for me. I kept trying for a while and wound up throwing them away.

Oh no, I just got a box for the troops. On the other hand I bought one of those oxygen air purifiers and it did not work and they also left out a 5'er I won. Called and they shipped me new ones right away. I'm sure they will do something for you.

They called first thing this morning and are going to send out a shipping tag to return them. then send out a new box minus what I tried to smoke. Im OK with that.:ss

CI speaks highly of these in their latest catalog, they do not seem to be highly rated by smokers though.

First. Ci speaks highly of just about every cigar. So it means nothing.

Second. I was BWI (bidding while intoxicated) awhile back and picked up a box of 25 of the torpedo size of these for 19 bucks. And to my surprise I liked them. They've all drawn well. They burn a little fast but what I was sure would be a dog rocket was a decent yard gar. If anything this size felt a little loosely rolled.

What size did you get?

Got a box of these for $19 on cbid as well. I tried on and it tasted heavy with ammonia. They were very bitter and I only made it 1/3 of the way through before giving up. They look nice. I am going to let them sit in the humi for a bit before trying another.I hope they come around.

I got the churchhills . Super tight and moist, with lots of amonia taste.

I steer away from churchills for my yard gars. Usually 4 to 6 inches x 46 to 60 ring 1 because they are cheaper and that's the whole point of a yard gar. And 2 a Churchill is something I want to sit and enjoy.

Ok now I know a 6x60 yard gar is still pretty big but they stay nice and cool.

Point being. I pick a smaller cigar for the cheapo. Seemed to work for the brocatus.
