Blind Mississippi Morris Benefit Auction

Young Ape
Blind Mississippi Morris, a living legend and one of the blues artists featured by Avalon Cigars, is in a tight spot. His house was recently condemned (story here) and he has about 30 days to make the necessary repairs or vacate the property. A fund has been established to raise money and awareness of the issue and a fundraising blues jam was held last night (6/20/2007). The jam was successful, but more is needed.

Avalon Cigars has put together a very special commemorative box of Masters Series, Blind Mississippi Morris cigars. The box consists of 20 Blind Mississippi Morris 6x44 Maduro cigars in a special (only two were made) humidor, signed by Avalon Founders Gary Hilton and Tom Ramsey and by Morris himself.

We have decided to offer up the box in a “Forum Pride” auction that Ed from Tarheel Cigars has agreed to host. We are posting this message on several different forums to see who can dig the deepest and bid the most for this item. To show that your favorite forum is the best, post your handle and forum along with your bid. Whichever forum is represented by the winning bidder will get a special treat…Another Avalon box pass for 25 members.

We are giving 100% of the proceeds to help rebuild Morris’ home.

To see the box and enter your bid, follow this link and post your name, forum and bid amount. Ed has set up this thread so that you don’t have to register to post your bid.

Your help is greatly appreciated.
