Bolivar Gold Medal - Question

Okay, this holiday season I'm really looking forward to trying a Bolivar Gold Medal.

Here's my question. Normally I like to drink a Havana Club Blanco and Cola taking small sips with most Bolivar's, as I find it goes very well togehter, but I'm up for trying a different pairing. Here's my two ideas:

Either a glass of Canadian Club 12 year old; or a glass of of Bacardi Cyclon (Golden Rum infused with Tequilla and contains natural lime flavor) & Cola.

I'm kinda learning towards the Bacardi Cyclon & Cola but still not sure.

What would you choose?

As a side note, I'm really impressed with almost all of the Bolivar's currently being produced. Even young, they are my current favourite brand of the moment.

I care, just the first time i saw this.
I don't drank any thing with my cigars
usually I'm in my truck, but i would go
with the Canadian Club :tu You are going
to have to tell me how the boli GM's are
been thinking about it but just cant seem
to pull the trigger don't know why I love Bolivars.
 
When I am searching for true nirvana (as related to cigars), I typically pour a few fingers of Red Breast in a tumbler.
It works for me with most any cigar.

I agree with the Bolivars.
My cab of 07 PC's is wonderful.
Need to get an extra one or two to squirrel away.

Thus far no Gold Medals on the horizon for me.
I suppose I should....

i care! i care! i would look to your avatar-thingie for the real answer! a nice boodles gin martini would be tasty with the BGM. i can't really cop to your two choices, but i would also check out a good kentucky bourbon, like maker's mark or any pappy van winkle vintages...

hey, wow. i just realized - if you went with my gin choice you'd have a BGM with a BGM... :tu
 
I like port with Bolivars. Not a huge port drinker, but it just seems to bring out the nuances in Bolivar and complement it well. :2
 
I enjoyed the bgm that I smoked so much.
I would only drink water as I wouldn't want to have anything that would compete with that great smoke.
But a good port would also be an option. Just my :2

I like the port also but I would maybe step up to the Anejo Havana CLub rum. I drink it on the rocks with any CC (mostly Boli's). Have fun! Let us know what works! :D
 
I care but I don't drink either of your two choices so not qualified really to give advice. However you should try a drink called Metaxa Seven Star. Best thing eva thats not Scotch (it really has nothing in common with Scotch, don't worry).
