Camping with friends and some cigars, not a bad mix. Well im going to my local B&M and I have a Avalon there waiting for me.I really excitied to try it. I will have a review by monday.

camping with gars is great! i picked up a small piece of tupperware (the kind with the plastic tabs that snap in place) and tossed a Puck 50 in with about 20 gars. it's got a rubber seal so the humidity holds extremely well even over a couple weeks time.

you just can't beat sitting at the camp fire with some friends, smoking a cigar, and drinking a cold one. enjoy! :ss

ooooooooooh yeah! I am doing this for a week starting June 30th!! Can't wait!!

Good thread to start! Any tips and tricks to ensuring cigar safety would be appreciated!!

I am gonna bring my pipe too!

I went camping last night with my gf, a friend and his gf and went through a couple of Nic3Ks and I had a MB3 robusto - It's a great feeling to sit around a campfire you built with some awesome people you love havin a beer, smokin a gar.

I love a good cigar sitting around the campfire. The best time I had was a few years back at Paris Island at a Boyscout get together .The scout-leaders all got together after the troops where settle in for the night and some of us sat around the fire with a few DIs there and talked and smoked a few nice cigars

to ensure your safety, bring lots of cigars so nobody gets left out :D

Wish that I could say that I had a good time when sitting around a Parris Island campfire with Drill Instructors. Would love to do it now almost 30 years removed.:ss

I use a 20 count humi that I got from the devil for 5 bucks then I put it in a insulated lunch bag with a pack of reusable ice. Keeps them cool and fresh. After all you can't be too careful.

I have an Otter Box and that thing rules. I cover up the cigars with the foam inside and that leaves me enough room to sneak my lighter and cutter in there, too. 100% sure everything is well protected.

The pipe stuff is so smelly I just stick it in a ziplock! Don't wanna throw those in the box with the cigars. They may get a little too friendly. ;)

Get a piece of tupperware, throw in a cigar pillow and maybe something to keep the gars from rolling around and resting up against the pillow. :tu

I prefer being over-protective!

As long as they don't get crushed, that will be fine. If it is only a couple days I wouldn't worry about any humi. device.

for just 2 days a ziplock would do, but i would opt for a small $3 tupperware type box for added protection. i partially inflate a empty ziplock and put it in the box with the smokes to act as padding and keep them from getting knocked around. rough roads and camping gear are not friendly to cigars.

:tpd: And, if you're worried about the heat, you can always toss the OtterBox in the cooler. The seal on 'em is airtight. :tu

One bit of advice though: I have the 10-stick OtterBox but I wish I'd bought a larger one so that I could bring enough cigars to share with the curious and uninitiated.

If you like excellent customer service and lightning quick shipping, buy your OtterBox from www.cigarmony.com :2

Sounds great! The campfire aroma should compliment the pecan aging in the Avalon. People have said that our sticks give off a slight hint of wood smoke, like you might smell when grilling a steak on charcoal.

Have a great weekend!
