Cigar has an earthy and enjoyable aroma out of the box. Attractive look and feel, nicely packaged.
Draw is slightly loose even with a small diameter cut, but not detrimental. Smoke volume is good and thick. Initial flavors are sweet with small pepper overtones.
Second third the flavors strengthened. Pepper still in the background but joined by a coffee/coca flavor that was very nice. Draw improved to what I enjoy and smoke volume was excellent. Burn is slightly uneven, probably due to the thick oily wrapper. The burn did not produce any problems. Strength is building to a pleasurable intensity.
Last third, pepper builds in with more coffee flavor. Strength is full now and burn and smoke volume still excellent. Tobacco packing is looser then you would expect so this cigar burns fairly quickly compared to others but not to loose to cause temperature concerns.
Would have rated this cigar a 10 if it was packed more solidly but it is a strong 9. A very good and delightful smoke!
