CAO Mx2

I always liked these. I have about a box and a half with some age on them. Only knock I have with these is the tight draw that is way too common in the Toro size anyways.

The only MX2 I have had were the Daggers and I'd have to agree with the advise, but only because of the draw issues they seem to have. The flavor has been great but the draw is too tight in my opinion. I still have yet to pick up a larger vitola to see what it has to offer

I agree that the draw is tight on the daggers. However, I do have 38 or so in my humi b/c I tried a fiver of these and like 'em so much I had to have more. I love the spice they pack and it's a great quick smoke when you don't have an hour to kill. I usually roll the cut end between my fingers and that seems to help the draw issue.

I was gifted a gordo a while back that's resting in my humi with it's little brothers. I can only imagine what I'm in for with that stick if I like the Daggers so much. :ss

ive tried one of the daggers too and i didnt like it. the flavor was kinda odd to me. not experiences enough to give a better description but i will let it sit a bit then try again. it was a similar experience with the cao golds in the same size. first i tried was bad but after a little time they were pretty nice.

What sizes are you smoking? When these were recommended to me it was strongly advised to stay away from the Dagger. I ended up with the 6x60 gordo and mannnnn everyone has been fantastic!:ss

I agree, I'm on my 3rd box of Mx2's, I love the Robustos, and my fav. is the Gordo, what a great smoke. one of my go to sticks.

To be perfectly honest, I've never had a bad Mx2. They've all treated me very well, great burns, great draws, and all-around great flavor. I'm surprised there weren't any redeeming qualities to your stogie, I'm a big C.A.O. fan, and they haven't done me wrong before. Try some of the other lines, it may just be that particular blend isn't your style (which, judging from your review, it blatantly cramps!). :ss:tu

I had an Oliva that i absolutly loved today, but it seems a bit pricey to have a high stock of them

The CAO MX2...definitely at the bottom of my list of likes...I have never had one that had a consistent nature about it, nor a pleasant flavor...the funny thing though...the Brazilia is not bad and neither is the L'Anniversaire Maduro...
If you really like the idea of a double maduro...Sancho Panza!!! Cheap and very delicious...

the C.A.O mx2 are fine.............for rookies!
used to be my go to cigar when i was comin up, but stopped cuttin it for years now.

Again my motto for MX2 is Go Gordo! However I also enjoyed the double maduro SP. Very smooth and produces nice white plum of smoke. As mentioned they run on the cheap side which makes them a great value and go-to smoke since those gas pumps only leave you a few :2

Had the same results as a few others in that the head of a Mx2 I had last night was rolled extremely tight. Very hard to get a draw. Really odd thing is that the first 2/3 of it were just fine (slightly spongy).

In the last 2 days, I have had both an America and an Mx2 that had extremely tight heads. I guess it serves me right for ignoring my Golds, Brazilia's and Blacks.

What sizes were they? Daggers? I'm telling ya you gotta go gordo.

I had one last week. They do seem to start out really full-bodied. Never had the "battery shock/car key" taste though.

I just finished one and honestly, the only complaint I have is the burn. It was one of the first cigars I've had a burn issue with. I don't want to generalize but I have heard others say the same thing. I will say that despite the burn issue, it was a wonderful smoke for me. It had a great taste and wonderful aroma.
