Casa fuente out, Lovo in

I just got back from Vegas. The price of everything skyrocketed since the last time I was there about two or three years ago (ten dollars for a margarita at ceasars sports book). When the nascar race was over I walked to casa fuente for a hosing over there. After getting ripped on the drink at the book I wasn't in the mood to spend $20 for a cigar. The next night we went to fremont street to check out the light show. While there I recalled a post about a little B&M in the old part of town, where the sticks are affordable. I was on a mission to find this oasis in the land of money grabbers. Success, It's called Lovo Cigars. It's located on fremont street 2 or 3 blocks east of where the light show starts. First the bad news. They only sell in-house cigars rolled just for them. If your looking for a name brand smoke like fuente or padron go somewhere else. Now for the good news, their cigars are great. I walked into the humidor, looked around, picked up a 4-pack of short maduro perfectos and a weird looking red cigar and headed to the counter to ask the guy what the hell it was. He told me that the wrapper was soaked in wine. At that point he went into the humidor to get me a couple free samples of the wine soaked cigars in corona size. For the rest of my trip I enjoyed those cigars and the ISOM's that were given to me by the great BOTL on this site. Even though they were on the mild side (most likely too mild for some people) those were as tasty and smokeable as the ISOM's were. The morning of my departure I went back to buy a whole mess of corons, churchills, and some barber pole cigars. I asked him to mail them to me so that I wouldn't have to bring them onto the plane. "What ever you would like" he replied. At that point he went back into the humidor to get me some more free samples. He brought out a whole bag of cigars assorted styles and sizes. Since they do mail orders I told him that I was going to become a regular customer.

Customer service = A+
Price = A ( the prices range from $3 to $6 per stick)
Cigars = B+ to A ( I liked those cigars with the wine soaked wrappers)

I will be buying from these guys in the future. The only bad news is that I didn't catch the salesmans name.

The Salesman's name was most likely Marco....His wife Edga is their head blender/roller....Anyhow...glad to hear that you like those more than the Casa Fuente!

Ok website or phone number for those of us that want to try a sampler. Jeez, read the story, get me all worked up :dr..then nada

Not the samplers you have discussed, but I have smoked their sticks in the past. About 2 years ago, my local B&M had a Lovo event. I did not attend the event, but the former owner bought a couple of boxes. I tried both of the Lovo Cigars, but I was not impressed.

Those wine soaked ones might be good...I mean I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy a cognac dip now and again

There is a difference between the ones made in the factory and the ones she rolls in the shop. Sam(Guitarman S.T.) sent me a couple when I was but a wee nublet. Very nice smokes, tending towards the medium side. Creamy with some nice flavor. :tu

Everybody has different tastes. Like I said the ones that I had I would call mild to medium. People that love a strong cigar might be board with them. Now I only had a small sample of their whole selection. I didn't think to ask about where all their cigars fall on the taste or strongness scale. I forgot to add that they were very prompt on shipping. I recieved the smokes the day after I got home in great shape.

My point was that if you go to vegas there are a few great cigars at a good price.
