CasaFuente/Opus Question

Only Fuentes

Back to the Moon!
I know that Casa sells quite a few HTF Opus and other HTF smokes. I also understand that they have quite a few sealed boxes of reg production Opus as well. I haven't been able to find what the prices are for these reg prod Opus. For example: what does a box of #4s or #2s cost at Casa Fuente? I realize they are WAY over msrp but how much over? $1k a box, $2k a box, more?:hn

Thanks in advance!!!!:ss

All I remember was an Opus A was over 125 bucks (...and that was like 5 years ago)

I was just there this spring and if I remember right Sharks were like 34 or 35 bucks each. I'm guessing the Opus are probably marked up on about the same curve.

I spent 45 bucks on two Casa Fuente's just because I was there. :hn

Wow, using those 2 examples they are about 500% over msrp. That puts a box of #2s at about $2,000! Thanks for info guys, never realized they are that much out there.

two months ago I was in there and they had a box of #2 for $1600.00. No discount off the stick price for buying a box.

Have you thought about calling them? That way insted of guessing you could get all the prices that you'll need (if they will give it to you over the phone). The number that I have is: (702) 731-5051.

Thanks, I'll try that Saturday. Those prices are out of my league though, even the website/auction gougers don't charge near that much. I'll post the prices tomorrow:hn

Might be telling you something you already know, but if you call TampaSweethearts.com and order a bundle of smokes from their line, you can buy two of each of the Opus X vitolas they have in stock for MSRP. Not sure if you are set on only buying a box, but here is a good way to get some Opus without getting it shoved up your moon.

Even if I won the lottery, I don't think I could convince myself to drop that kind of money on a cigar, ever. Even a $30 would be a rare treat, maybe when they bring me the check. My taste buds are simply not sensitive enough to get that much out of it. I'll leave those for people who can truly appreciate them. Seriously, could a cigar ever be ten times better than the best one I've ever had? Don't get me wrong, if someone gave me one, I'd have to smoke it, just to be polite.:) If I had to pick a single "best cigar" I've ever had, it would have to be a Cuban Uppmann I got in Scotland, and I only paid about $18 for that. Well, not counting the $1200 in airfare...

So it was actually a $1218.00 cigar. :D

When I was there three years ago AF13's were $125 each and a box of CF Belicoso's were $700. I doubt its any cheaper now :D

Just looking around on the net, seems this place has a lot of full box inventory...for a price (if they actually have it in stock). Unknown if they are reputable or not.

Thanks for the site! I'll give them a shot... TS is great for almost all other Fuentes except reg prod Opus though. I buy most of my DCs and Hmmngys there; and its the only place I've been able to find that will sell multiple Opus 22 sets at one time. I used to do the daily drive to Holt's for the daily 2 per limit. My local B&M is the same way. I certainly don't blame them though as its the fair way to distribute them. But it gets real old real fast buying 2 at a time. I had to limit myself to smoke no more than 4 Opus per week. So I thought Casa might be a volume option but probably not...

Well, I wasn't there just for the cigars, but I certainly wasn't going to pass up the opportunity, either. I also managed to squeeze in a couple of other things, while I was there. I also don't know how much of that $18 was taxes, but based on other tobacco purchases in the U.K., I would start at $6 and go up. Communist nanny-state.

Gotcha, I figured you might already know about TS. I wasn't aware they didn't have good supplies of the regular production on hand.

At CF's prices, I think you are right about them not being a volume option.

That's why I was happy when I found Lovo's. Their not name brand, but they are a very good cigar at a great price. Very acceptable choice if you need to buy one there.
