Case or Tubes?

I am relatively new to Cigars and the forum, so this may be a no brainer.

Is it taboo to re-use cigar tubes?

I recently got a gift of two Romeo y Julietas in glass tubes, I have been thinking about purchasing a case to take my cigars out for the day. Is there any reason why I can't just reuse the glass tubes?

The tubes are fine for protecting your sticks.
Is it Taboo? IMO I don't think so.
I have used them. But if you're going out and want to take 5-10 cigars it is a pain in the a$$ to carry around 10 tubes. If they are glass make sure you don't hurt yourself.

No issues in reusing with me. I have broken the glass tubes though so now I throw them away (they almost explode when dropped, you will be finding glass all over the room for months). The aluminum tubes though, keep em, use em, love em!

I keep all of them and give them names. Somehow they all end up named Monica.

In all seriousness, they are great for travel and you can keep matches in them too. Just cut out and glue a striker surface to the side or under the cap.

Good one :r:r

I would absolutely reuse them. They work great for when you are only taking one smoke, which never seems to be the case for me....:hn

Nice advice, well thanks all, I actually used one last night and it worked out great! Luckily the glass didn't break....yet.
