Celophane

Ok here is the true answer to cello on or off:

Whatever you like to do with your cigars ( wait I'm rephrasing:D)...

However you like to store them is the best way... after all they are your babies.

One sidenote though, I take all cello off mine with no exceptions. However I found that smokes with a cameroon wrapper are fairly fragile and should be moved/handled as little as possible when storing without cello.

I used to take them off...

Now, I leave them on.

I think that, if money were no option, I would buy a ton of cellos and store all my sticks that way, including those that are sold without them.

I'm collecting some old Padilla cigars (Achilles) that were sent without cello from the maufacturer... as time goes on, and things in my vinotemp get shifted, these sticks tend to take a beating on the foot and wrapper... this wouldnt' be a problem to the same extent if they had cello when they came from the manufacturer.

There is one lone exception to the 'Cello ON' rule, and most Fuente Hoarders will agree with me. Arturo Fuente Anejos shoud be stored WITHOUT CEDAR OR CELLO, as these sticks grow mold very easily...

Now I'm confused. What I would really like to know is:

Is it better to take the cellos off? Or leave them on? What do you all REALLY think???:chk:chk:chk

If they're on, I leave them on. As Scott said, they protect my cigars.
If a cigar comes with cedar on it, I take that off. Especially if it's in tubos.
If it's not too tough, I'll put the cigar back in the cello after removing the cedar.
I wish I could score different rg/length cellos to put all my cigars in them. Keeps them nice, for sure.
