Choosing between cigars

How do you guys choose between similar cigars?

For my list of future box prospects, I've come to realize that I like the Carlos Toraño Casa Toraño, Cusano 18 Double Connecticut and Perdomo Cabinet Champagne, but I don't know really if I like any of them better than the other. The Cusano was like smoking butter, I remember that much, and the Casa Toraño was pretty delicious (less of the Connecticut flavor, but with a nice smoothness that I really enjoyed), and the Champagne was also pretty good, with a nice flavor. The Casa Toraño and the Cusano 18 cost about the same, and the Champagne was a little pricier and less tasty, so I think that one's out. The other two...I don't know.

How do you guys work through these pickles? Buy a box of each? :D

if the wallet allows, buy 'em both. Otherwise, you'll be kicking yourself for not buying the other one.

Watch your footing...the slope is slippery.:ss

I usually buy what I want when I want. If I see that Joe Cigar Daily Deal http://www.joecigar.com/ has a good deal that day then I purchase the daily deal, if not I buy what I'm in the mood for at that time.

I've been attempting to smoke at least 2-3 of the same cigar before I go for a box to make sure.

It doesn't always work out so well. :hn

My self , I love a smoke that taste like creamy butter. If the Cusano has those qualities thats what I would go with.Thats my :2

I just discovered this and it helps. Check out the cigars you like and rate them, 1, 2, 3 etc. Then see what the filler(s) tobacco is, the wrapper, and length can be an indicator, too! I have discovered that I like anything Nicaraguan...seems to fit my palate. So, now when I choose a cigar to buy or smoke, I check to see what amount of Nicaraguan tobacco is involved...long filler, blend, combo blend/long filler, etc. It is working out great and I am having better smoking experiences because of it.
Of course, I still smoke others, but, when I want to satisfy my palate, a Nic is my first choice....

Hmm, that's interesting. I might have to look into doing that.

I have smoked a couple Cusano 18s, a couple Champagnes and one Casa Toraño, and I plan on smoking a couple more Casa Toraños, but the actual problem is, I liked them all :D

@acruce
Have you had the Cusano 18 Double Connecticut? Oh Lord...I believe the filler is hand-churned :ss

I might have to get both anyway...once I get a Vinotemp one of these days, I can buy boxes...and then the box-buying stage begins...

C10 Corona fit this profile...... straight butter. Usually when fresh, but not always.
Aged 6 months, however, is a guarantee of butter.

Illusione cg:4 are very buttery with exotic spices.

Davidoff....... nuff said.
