I'm thinking about picking up some of the house label brands from cigar.com - purple, cuban and red label.

Can anyone give me a review / comments?

Never had the Purple, cuban, or Red....... But the Brazillian(green) is quite tasty!

bman40,

I have smoked the cigar.com Cameroon and absolutely loved it! I am really considering ordering a box of the torpedos.

Ive been tempted to pick up a sampler and trying them all. Ive heard very good things about the brazilian one and cuban.

Thanks guys

I am thinking of buying three boxes and splitting them with some gorillas here at work.

Cuban for one guy
Coroja for me
maduro for the other dude

I'll report back when we get them and torch a few.

I have been waiting for the "one of each" sampler to get back in stock.

It seems they have plenty of the "three of each" sampler. I'm no math-magician but...:tu

I usually order some of their house brands when making a purchase. They are prettey good especially for the price. I like the Cuban Blend and Corojo the best.

A year or two ago I bought a couple of bundles of their Camaroons, I forget the color--yellow?? maybe. Darned good smokes.

I took advantage of the mixed sampler they offer. I've tried the cuban and brazillian so far and have been pleasantly suprised. Once I figure out which is my favorite I will keep a box in my humidor.

They had a special on the blue labels a few weeks back and a friend of mine got some and shared them with me. They were a tasty smoke and well worth the $2.00/$2.50 per stick he paid for them IMHO.

this is great news fro me! I'm always ont eh lookout for budget cigars that are quite good. I'll be sure to pick up some of these next time I order.

our order arrived yesterday-

corojo torpedo, cuban torpedo and cuban churchill - we also scored a free 4-pack of 601, two free lighters (colibri firebird) and 5 free cuban churchills

I laid them to rest in my coolerdor, and was going to wait a couple of weeks, but I gave in to temptation, and tried a Corojo label torpedo.

I was quite impressed, medium strength, nice flavour and aroma, and a slightly crooked burn. Ash was a dirty grey and held on for over 1 1/2 inches.

It was going well, and holding up nicely, but it 'popped' with 1/3 left - it kinda burst/split.. I have not had this happen yet - but its a short filler cigar I think...so this makes it vulnerable to this kind of thing, correct?

it still smoked and it got better as I went, even with the popped side.

For the price, I think these are a winner.

Next week I'll try a Cuban and post the results.
