No list here, I have a pretty good idea of most of the cigars I have. At this point trying inventory everthing would take forever.

Plus it's allways nice to find that gem thats been tucked away and forgotten, I found a couple H Upmann #2 buried in the back of the cooler mixed in with some singels, They've been in there a couple years, made my day!

If given the opportunity between taking inventory of my cigars and smoking a fine premium cigar, guess which I prefer to do? :r

I keep an excel spreadsheet. I typically buy by the box, the spreadsheet helps me keep track of #'s and when to revisit a cigar if ageing. It also makes ordering new boxes easier becasue I can check the spreasheet and not disrupt my humi.

I also use an excel spreadsheet to keep track of my purchases. Since I'm fairly new to this, it helps me keep track of which cigars I've enjoyed and which ones I will choose not to revisit again.

Since I have a relatively small collection at the moment, it's much easier for me to keep track of my inventory compared to many of the others on this board.

I use cigar briefcase, I'm not terribly disciplined with it, I pretty much just true up whenever I get new cigars to catch the one's I've smoked but not taken out of inventory. It's also a pretty good place to keep notes of smokes I want to get again, or smokes I want to stay away from.

I wish I would have started it when I started collecting cigars, but now I'm waaaaay too far into it. I tried to use Cigar Briefcase and go through my stuff, but thats just not happening. Took me like 2 hours to get 20 entries :r

I too have a book where I record every smoke and I log every purchase, but for some reason the two never tie out.

Could be spoilage, or too much alcohol.:tu

I just downloaded Cigar Briefcase and installed it. I ran the program and in all honesty, all those fields to fill out made my head hurt.

As nice as the program looks, I just don't see myself using it. I'll give it a try but I'm pretty sure I won't be able to stick with it.

One thing I would recomend to those (like myself) who have a large quantity of cigars but want to use Cigar Briefcase is to start using it with new purchases and leave what's in the humi out of the database.

Eventually you'll end up smoking the non datebased cigars and you'll be left with the more recent purchases.

I dunno, just my :2

Cheers,
Rob

I use a word file that lists all the cigars i have. Then after i smoke one i havent tried it goes under like or dislike. If i like enough that id buy a box of them i put a capital B next to it. Still havent figured out all of what i like so this is for future reference when using cbid.
