cigar movies

"Something Wicked This Way Comes"

Based on the Ray Bradbury short story this is an effectively creepy movie from 1983. There's one extended scene in which Jason Robard's character stops by the tobacconist after work, buys a cheap cigar while lamenting that he can't afford a good one, and smokes it on the walk home while talking to his son. Once they get to the house he sends his son on in while he sits on the porch to finish his cigar since the wife won't let him bring it in the house. I like that scene because it reminds me of a time when a cigar was a widely accepted vice and mirrors what to me would be the perfect end to a long day at work.

Clint Eastwood smoked cigars in a lot of his movies. Can't think of the Western that is foremost in my mind... Palerider?

I don't know about Pale Rider, but he smokes cigars in The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, Fistful of Dollars, and for a Few Dollars More.

Well....I thought a Good Year was pretty decent and thought the same thing when Russel Crowe was puffing away.

Although this isn't a movie, I love that at the end of ever episode of Boston Legal, Shatner and Spader sit on the balcony and enjoy scotch and cigars.

As a funny aside, for those of you who have game consoles, Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare has the team leader puffing away on a stogie while riding in a helicopter before they storm a ship at sea.

As for cigars in movies, how can anyone forget Clint Eastwood in Heartbreak Ridge???

Speaking of youtube, whats up with these shirtless old dudes on there with a cigar, gazing into the camera, winking at it, etc. and the one hairy old dude rubbing his big gut and filming it?? lol, just weird to me

Blowing Smoke. The movie is pretty good, entertaining, but it looks like their website has changed. Don't know what's going on with it.

Just watched the Trailer. Looks good!!!:tu

This is probably the best with the most cigars smoking in it. Funny has hell to. :r :r:ss :tu

Yeah, this was all about cigars and the rest is what happens inbetween them. And it was pretty entertaining

Finally got around to seeing this movie and enjoyed it...and some of the main characters are cigars!

The cigars used are: Ashton VSG, Padron Anniversiary, Fuente Fuente Opus X, Zino Platinum, Diamond Crown Maximus, LaFlor Dominica Chisel, and Oneoff...and they burn a lot of them...Some other cigars are mentioned throughout...And it takes place in a helluva nice cigar club...I'm not sure if it was filmed on site of the Havana Club or just in a studio with its own design...but it's certainly a place I'd like to lounge...

If you get a chance, it's certianly an enjoyable film for cigar lovers.:tu:tu

How many times did you pause and rewind to see cigar bands and labels?

Did you watch any scenes in slow motion?:r

on the "special features" on the movie they discuss all the cigars...it's kind of funny because they talk about how all the people involved in production started out upset about the smoke...but by the end of filming, they all enjoyed cigars...and many of them now are cigar smokers...:tu
