Cigar packed too tightly?

I recently smoked a RyJ Cedros De Luxe .3
I think it was packed way too tightly because when I tried to light it and I had to suck in really hard as if there was no air flow in it. So the whole time I am trying to smoke it I have to suck really hard to get it out... Never happened before in this cigar.
It also happened to me with a CAO CX2 before.

makes you feel sick afterwords also.

That sucks (no pun intended). Maybe invest in a draw poker for the future? I haven't encountered that yet but it must be a real bummer anticipating a great smoke and then having to lose a lung trying to draw off it.

Be on the lookout for a piece of small diameter metal rod. I found one, stainless, about the size of an uncooked spaghetti noodle. I sharpened one end and capped the other. It works great on those aggrevating plugged sticks. When using a draw poker, remember two terms...straight is the only way and slow and easy on the delivery. Once it gets a little warm, rolling it in your fingers will help, also. Good luck.

As stated, a straightened jumbo paperclip works when you have nothing else.

I took a piece of wire clothes hanger, straightened it out and made a finger sized loop on one end. I then sharpened the other end to a beveled point and filed a few small notches in it about 1/2 inch apart. Works great for plugged cigars and to poke my girlfriend in the leg if my beer gets empty. :D

Thank you
I just have bad luck I guess...haha. It really does suck. I got so dizzy and felt like poop all night because of it. I have a good Cigar Punch. Just waiting to get my Palio cutter.
