I am a Mac user and have a Mac version of my StogieRate software that also works with PCs....I suppose there isn't a mac version...
I was really excited for a minute there.

I right clicked on the program to grant permissions as the instructions on the website advised. What additional steps do I need to take to grant permissions for the database files?Did you apply the permissions to just the .exe? The database files need the permissions as well.

Any of you guys having a problem with CR 2.0? It took me 3 tries to download the program. The first two attempts lasted hours and crapped out 97% of the way through. The 3rd attempt was only 20 minutes or so.
I installed the program and it looked great. However, as soon as I tried to add a "humidor" I got some sort of database error. Anyone else experiencing this?
I'm running Vista and I did give the program the necessary permissions as noted in the CR 2.0 FAQs.
I tried that too.Sorry, no problems here on Vista. Works good for me. Maybe a re-install if you kept the download?
I'll give that a try. Thanks!Spect said:1) Program Files / Cigar Register, select all files in the folder click properties, select the security tab

Going through and changing the permissions for pretty much every CR 2.0 file seemed to solve the problem. Thanks! :tu1) Program Files / Cigar Register, select all files in the folder click properties, select the security tab

BTW - I can pass the CD along to someone else who needs it.
(I don't see a problem with it since the software is freely available from their website if you can ever get it fully downloaded. If anyone affiliated with Cigar Register would not like me to pass the CD please let me know.)
What's the price of Cigar Register?
Cigar Register is free for all use - you only have to register on this web-site to get it. Although it's free to download, distributing it - even for free - is strictly forbidden!
Its listed on their site, but I don't quite understand why, either way I am gonna try it out!
That's pretty crazy that they won't let you distribute the software. I mean they give it away for free and it's nearly impossible to download from their site. It took me three tries and several hours of my time. What's the price of Cigar Register?
