Hi all im a regular cigarette smoker but new to stogie world. Was wondering if any cigarette smokers out there found they enjoyed fuller cigars rather than mild ones due to being a regular cigerette smoker?Ive only tried a few random sticks so far, is it worth me trying more mild ones or go straight for wild? Any suggestions? Thanks

I am a Cigarette smoker, and find i enjoy a medium, medium-full, and full smokes depending on my mood.

I tend to smoke more fuller cigars than anything else however.

Though i would suggest trying a few mild sticks before writing them off completely, who knows, you may find you like them.

I've been smoking cigarettes for almost twent years and recenlty started smoking cigars. In the beginning, not that long ago at that, I was smoking only full flavored cigars. I felt the mild ones did not offer anything for me. However, I now find myself enjoying a range of smokes, from full to mild to anywhere in between. For me, I had to get it out of my head that I was smoking to get a "fix" and I started smoking for flavor and for pleasure. I hope this helps...jason

Cheers 2 u both, i'll carry on trying to find my favourite taste/brand its gonna be hard but i'll keep at it! omg how will i cope having to buy more cigars n smoking em! THIS HOBBY IS AWESOME!!:ss

lol yah its a bad hobby, but in a good way, i find myself with so many new smokes to try, and not enough time to try them all, and when i find time there are abotu 100 new ones i want to try :D

Former cig smoker here. When I grab a mild cigar its a conscious decision,I like mild flavorful cigars.
As a general rule I prefer fuller bodied cigars and its probably due to smoking cigarettes in the past.

As a former cigarette smoker, I can tell you that cigarettes affected my tastebuds greatly. Most will enjoy fuller strength and flavor cigars (not flavored). I've been clear of cigarettes for two years now, and I enjoy a wide range of cigars, not just the strong ones.

Alright in my opinion cigarrettes don't do much for me taste wise, except mixing tastes of cigars. Then again I'm not a regular cigarrette smoker so I don't know. I do know is that when I smoke full bodied cigars often, it ruins the tastes/alters the taste for many other things including other cigars. I try and trade off between a medium and full body, and making sure I brush !!

I am a cigarette smoker as well. I've found that I enjoy a pretty big variety of smokes, not some much depending on the strength. I love cigars that will knock me on my ass, and at the same time my favorite cigar is the Monticristo White, which is of course a very mild cigar.

I find smoking doesn't affect my taste in cigars, but I do find that cigars affect the way my cigarettes taste :r, I love my cigarettes and I love my cigars, but there is nothing I hate more then the taste of a cigarette after smoking a cigar.

Sometimes, I smoke a menthol cigarette between cigars...this actually cleans my pallet up and is kinda refreshing.

I'm almost 50. Quit cigs for almost 2 years, and am smoking again. This has to be the nastiest addiction there is.

I admire the brothers (sisters) who have kicked this habit.

I'm still struggling. I haven't been stronger than the addiction yet, obviously. I'm a big man who has done well in life, but this little fuc*er still has me in its grips.

To anwer your question, I can still taste cigars. Would I taste them better if I wasn't a cigarette smoker? YES, I'm sure I would.

I've been smoking cigs for 30 years and tend to lean to the stonger cigars. Since the cigs have numbed my taste, I inhale cigars and exhale through the nose. This allows me to taste the cigar, even the milder ones. I have heard that mst people do not inhale cigar smoke but I dont have the hang of "snorking" yet.

Although inhaling helps the taste I also have to make sure that I have somewhere to sit for a while until the raging nic buzzzzz wears down.

I just recently quit smoking. I have enjoyed full-flavored cigars since the get go. Now that's not to say that I won't pull out a mild or medium stick out of the humi every now and then. As a matter of fact, I usually start my day with a mild cigar (LTC Churchill).
