Cigars vs. Cigarettes

I've always had a dislike for cigarettes. Now that I am a cigar smoker, I feel a bit hypocritical to complain about cigarettes.

We've been told about all of the chemicals present in cigarettes, but how about cigars? To me, it would seem that a cigar is a much more pure form of tobacco, free from many of the chemicals present in cigarettes.

Am I correct?

It's like the difference between drinking a Bud every hour or having a stien of microbrew after dinner.
 
I really have no room to talk I guess. I smoke cigarettes, and love cigars. I like getting drunk and drinking cheap beer, but I do enjoy a good one every now and then.

What does that say about me? I guess I'm just self destructive.
 
I personally find cigarettes disgusting, I don't smoke them, and I never have, but I don't bitch at people for smoking them around me (unless it's in my house/car). I have fired up a stogie when I'm around a bunch of cigarette smokers and drove them off with billowing clouds of cigar smoke a few times though.

Yeah, I don't really bitch at people. Although it is fun to light up a big ol' stinker and do what you said.
 
Same here, what has become of me. I think I'm crazy. I allways made a fuss about pepole smoking Cigerettes. Now when I want to do that I'm thinking about my self and the cigars. But I really dont smoke betwen people.

How valid is that list ? .. I have no idea. Lets just say that nothing would surprise me.

Well, it doesn't say that they use those things, just that they are approved for use. But yeah, it wouldn't surprise me either to find out that every one of those is in a cigarette.

Except for American Spirits. Certified organic tobacco and additive free. Maybe I should switch to those.
 
I smoke out on my balcony with my buddy every night, and I have our seats set up such that he is always downwind. He gets my smoke, and claims to love it, and I never get his crappy cigarette smoke. Its a beautiful system. :D
