Cola And Corojos

Has anyone else discovered this match made in heaven? The cola seems to help bring out the rich, dark, cocoa and coffee flavors from a corojo wrapper, and also cuts down on some of the spicy kick when you begin to reach the nub. Mexican Coke with cane sugar is my favorite beverage when firing up one of my LVH corojo's.

So, where do you get cane sugar Coke?!? (as pictured above...not the nose candy version!)

I'm not too sure if they have many places in the U.S. (if any) that stock it... The guys at Edward's up here call it Mexi-coke, and everytime they head down toward the border, that is one of the things they bring back up...

Personally I wish the U.S. would stop using the damn High fructose corn syrup and go back to real sugar... :dr

You and me both. Evil stuff that HFCS.

Costco carries the Mexican Coca-Cola here, try your local.

:r Epic thread title!

Ask your local stores for Kosher Coca-Cola around the holidays....Made with real sugar instead of all the high fructose corn syrup crapola...If you have never had it look out! It's really good :dr

Thanks for the tip... I am moving within a few miles of a Costco so I will have to check that out the next time I am over that way... :D

We have a large "undocumented" migrant population who settled in the next town over. They come to work on the nurseries there. There are a few mexican groceries that sell it.

If corn prices keep rising the way they have been lately, sugar may end up being a cheaper sweetener.

My favorite pairing is Heather's (cigarwife) chocolate chip cookies, whatever I'm smoking, and water. MMmm mmm good!

And yeah Coke tastes it's absolute best when drunk from a glass bottle. I did a lot of testing when I worked with my uncle summers on the Coke truck. What a dream job for a 13-15 year old kid :r

If anyone wants some, there are a few mexican marktes around my house, I can get all sorts of stuff, including the coke, pepsi, and other beverages bottled in mexico.

I personally prefer Dr. Pepper if I am drinking a carbonated beverage with my smokes...but real Sugar Cane Coke is AWESOME....and lately, my favorite HFCS free cola....Red Bull Cola...even the caffeine is naturally...taken from coffee beans...
