Colibri will never have my business again.

I agree with the above: My Colibri Enterprise ROCKS. It never fails, and besides the fact that the triple torch eats gas, I've never had a problem. You definitely have to follow the instructions with a Colibri, which may surprise you. To drain all the extra 'air' out while the lighter is still UPRIGHT is a must, and use only Colibri gas. I'm not trying to convert anyone here. I'm sure you're happy with your Ronson's and PB's and they're all free of defects.

I agree with all the other people that said to just buy better butane. I had 2 colibri firebirds from a while ago when I won them on cigarbid. I finally used one up( I normally couldn't find it) and after I used the colibri fuel it would try to light but couldn't hold a flame. I just got in 3 cans of Vector 2 nights ago. I had to refill/purge the lighter 3 times with it but it finally worked. I think either Vector or Lava will work but I went with Vector because I found it cheaper. The Ronson's are nice as well I personally will not pay more than 10$ for a lighter because I tend to lose them.

I'm the unfortunate owner of two colibri quantum lighters and their performance has been quite shite to say the least. I have used only high quality fuel to refill them, and pretty much keep 'em clean with compressed air, but that does not seem to make a difference to them. I'm upset that such a popular brand can be so unreliable. I will be calling them soon and giving them a piece of my mind. Now I need to find myself a zippo insert and lighter. Sorry but I needed to vent.

I agree with you,,,I bought my last Colibri about 3 years ago and it is a piece of a$$,,,it cost more than $75 and I have had at least 2 different kinds. The same is for Prometheus lighters,,,they are good for about 2 months and then problems and I use the highest rated butane. Now I use the 3 fer $30 lighters and they burn and burn and burn,,,go figger!!!:tu
