Cooler owners?

yes but i also keep a humi of cigas that i dont care for that much out in the main room. i smoke form that every once in a while.

Always move mine from the cooler (lower RH for the LT storage) to the - as another CS Brother coined - "Departure Lounge"/Desktop Humi where I like my RH to hover closer to 68-69 (except for CCs, I like my cigars to smoke at a little higher RH).

Right out of the coolers and have never had a problem. The only drawback for me is digging out boxes to get to stuff on the bottom. It can be a chore sometimes but there are worse things I guess:)

Straight out of the cooler, vino or desktop. If I wanna smoke it I am going to find it! But I will often get distracted and find something else while digging around.:dr:ss

Why would you want to move it to a small cedar humi? Most people keep lots of cedar in their coolers so help with humidity maintainance. I smoke everything out the cooler, for over ten years. I also have a cedar humi just to protect more more valuable singles, aged, etc. The rest are just fine in the cooler, even aged for many years. :tu The key is the humidifcation and keeping that consistant that will affect the flavor/smoke, etc. :)

I've been smoking out of a cooler, but it's down in the basement in my workshop. I've ordered a glass top humi from bargainhumidors.com from their sale this past weekend, and will keep that behind the wet bar in the family room so I have a nice selection close at hand. :tu

I have three coolers and a desktop. I keep the desktop at about 62% for immediate smoking. I keep the smallest cooler at 63-65% for singles and try to smoke from there, too. I keep the other coolers at 65-67% for storage ... but I smoke from them too because I can never plan ahead for my cravings. :r :r :r

In a perfect world, I'd be more disciplined about dry-boxing, my "aging" cooler, etc.; but that's mostly because I'm anal and not because you *need to* smoke out of a humi as opposed to cooler.

My cooler is used for overflow when I don't have room in my 4 desktop humis. Once I get a little room in one of my humis, I put the singles in my humidor. My cooler mostly has boxes in it.

The only reason I have an "aging" cooler is for mental purposes - the humidity/setup isn't any different than my other cooler or humis, but I just call it the "aging" cooler so I look elsewhere when choosing a smoke.

I try to do that, too; half 1/3 to 1/2 of the boxes in there have already been cracked, though. :r

Out of the cooler is fine. I never know wtf I'm gonna smoke until I see it, so I could spend some time in the 5 desktops and cooler trying to find something :tu :ss

I generally smoke out of my humidors but if I can't find something there, I will look in the coolers.

I keep about 80% of my smokes in the cooler so that's where I smoke from most of the time. I will pull selections out and fill the humis if they are getting empty but there is no method to the madness. One humi has my higher-end sticks (Opus, Fuente, etc.) - another has random selections in it. I find that my cravings veer away from what's on the "bottom" of the cooler because sometimes I'm just too lazy to dig them out - I guess you could call that "Lethargy Aging". Just do what you feel comfortable doing. I think all the methods described above work great.
