Or at least according to the reaction of my wife!

I smoke about 1 Cuban to every 15 or so NCs. Judging by her reaction, the smell of the smoke and aftermath of a nice Cuban cigar does not seem to bother her as much as an NC.

There you have it, unadulterated proof that Cuban cigars are better! :D

My wife really likes the smell of my NC's. I've never smoked a CC. Maybe thats the excuse I'll give her to let me buy some?" I think you'll like this smoke even better honey" :ss

If that were the case my wife would have me smoking Drew Estate Natural Dirts all the time. I usually keep a handful of these around for when we have company and they are not regular cigar smokers and are looking for something. 9 out of 10 times they ask if I have anything flavored or sweet. These seem to do the trick as they use sweet gum to roll them and every time my wife asks "What did you give them? It smells great!" Go figure!
At least your wife likes the smell of Cubans. Mine likes the smell of enhanced flavored cigars. I just have all the luck.:r

Hey man.....if the wife likes the aroma, that's good for you. :tu

Personally I can't stand 'em...aroma or not.

Have you ever smoked a San Cristobal CC around the Mrs.?

My wife said they smell like horse Chit. No kidding..Try one and she what she says..

I heard someone else say the SanCristobal's CC's smell like ass. :D

Whenever my gf tells me my stogies stink when i smoke, i tell her to go make me a sammich!

lol, just playing,
she just goes inside

pretty simple here, All I have to do is smoke aged, expensive sticks that smell good to her, she hates al else and lights an incense.

Which makes my stogie tastes like sandalwood?

This is very compelling proof!!! ;)

I use my cigar smoke as wife repellent...:r

Seriously though....shes pretty cool about my hobby.

I've heard my wife claiming that she can tell "the good stuff." She has never smoked, but her dad used to smoke cigars around the house when she was growing up.

Nicolas,
So true here also.
My wife grew up around tobacco in Pinal del Rio.
Her family grew it, rolled it, smoked it.
She has never smoked but can often tell when I am smoking a Cuban from a non Cuban.
Some cigars remind her of days with her dad and grandfather.

Well, I think the opposite is true in my wife's case. Judging from the cigar boxes in the garage full of screws and other small pieces of hardware, my wife's father was no connoisseur.

Given that her father's death was directly attributable to his cigar-smoking habit, I feel lucky that my wife's attitude is as tolerant--which is to say, not completely intolerant--as it is towards my habit.

P.S. When are you coming back to H-town, Carlos?

As soon as I know, will let you guys know.
Trying to see if I can be in Houston on the night of 7/9.
