CUPIDO cigars?

I herd they were good cigars but I also herd they don't make them anymore. Well this site says they are back and they have them, made by them. I don't know the original maker but i doubt they were from this vendor. They are only made with a criollo wrapper (I have yet to try as I haven't herd great things about them and not many makers use them)

Heres the link:

Should I try them from this vendor? How is the criollo wrapper? If they are trying to mimic the original how were they? Those of you who have used this vendor would you use them again or do you use them regularly? Finally which vitola would you try first?

I think if I do buy a box it would be the "Doble" vitola. (a box pressed perfecto) My reason for this is i would think they would be using better rollers to make them in turn hopefully making better cigars. Also because I have never had a box pressed perfecto. I look forward to hearing what you guys think, thanks.

Yes they are back.. And just as good as they where.Don Kiki was and still is the maker of this fine cigar

As I get deeper into my research of this hobby of fine cigars ,The people behind the cigars themself catches my interest .
Don Kiki, Henry “Kiki” Berger has grab my interest greatly. Don Kiki cigars have a very large fan base. Don Kiki cigars are one of the best boutique premium cigars in many cigar smoker"s view, mine too. Don Kiki has built an integrated company to have complete control over the quality of the finished product. His company Cuban Crafters a Miami-based company with their farms in Esteli Nicaragua . With this Berger can achieve the highest quality control of all the procesure in his cigars and make his company one of the industry’s most celebrated makers of boutique premium cigars. Don kiki uses nothing but the most highly skilled Master Rollers trained in the old-fashioned way of cigar making. This cigar company is one of the few that can boost that they have total control from seed to cigar and to you.
Yes they are a great company to deal with I have bought from them for years now and sell alot of their stuff:2

The cuban crafters brand (also has the Don kiki lines) is under rated for a source of tasty, CHEAP smokes. The Don Kiki Brown label is a personal favorite of mine, and the whole line of cuban crafters can be found here for MUCH cheaper:

www.lilbrown.com I have ordered from them before and found them to be a great retailer. You will have to look for the lines by their name in the list of premium cigars, but with lilbrown you can buy singles for almost anything they carry.

Thanks a lot I think ill order a box of the Cupidos from Cuban Crafters. As littlebrown doesn't have them at least yet. Thanks for the great review I am very interested in trying them now. So I will buy a box in the next few days.

One of the main reasons I asked is because my first purchase from them was a bundle of cigars that they stated they got for a tobacco trade, man they were terrible. Don't buy this cigar its the one I'm talking about

Although they stand by there product which is a rare thing today. So I called and they were willing to take them back (even after I smoked one, which is there policy. Unheard of from most company's) I have herd Great things about the brown label especially.

So since this is the same company bringing back a old blend that I have herd were good. Why did they stop making them? Also what kind of flavors does this cigar have? I believe it is a medium blend. It would be nice to know especially since I have never had a Criollo Wrapped cigar before. Thanks guys i dont think there is anywhere in the world better than this place to talk about cigars and learn without snobs.

!!VIVA LA CLUB STOGIE!!

Well I orderd them, LoL. I pretty much thought I was going to unless someone here said the were either bad or something else to make me not want to try them as they do not have 5 packs to try. UPS says I'll get them on the 27th but this month Ups was late with my last package and I would assume it will be on this one too since it is even closer to Christmas.

The Cupido was made by Kiki Berger as a contract for someone else. When that was dropped, CC made them for their own use as the La Carolina. They said it was the exact same thing, but some (myself included) say it is not the same. Probably it tasted different because it did not have the stupid pink band on it (the only real complaint I ever heard about Cupido). Though I have some of the later old Cupidos that do not taste the same to me as the first several boxes I had. I am guessing they have had enough interest to bring the brand back (and maybe they had to buy the rights back or something).

This is all a good thing I think, I have some of the old Cupido left, but I think they are getting a bit too mellow with age. I have been smoking my little stockpile slowly but surely and will run out of those soon.

also, it seems like a lot of others, they produce some really cheap dog turd cigars since there is always a market for them (just go to cigarbid and look and see how many Cremosas they sell).
