Hey Everyone;

I am heading to Dallas Texas for march 6 to 10th. I will be staying at hotel near the Court house on North Industrial. Is there any great Cigar stores nearby or any recommendations? Also a great lounge and BBQ place to eat.

let me know

Cheers
Andrew

Are you renting a car?

If so, You need to go to http://www.tobacconist.us/ otherwise known as Stafford & Jones, their sign says tobacconist though and the other I would recommend is http://www.twobrotherscigar.com/.

Stafford & Jones is a little bit smaller than Two Brothers but they have really good prices and unbeatable knowledge & customer service.

Two Brothers is a lot bigger than S&J and have a really good selection.

In reference to BBQ...We don't eat it. lol I can't help with that.

Depending on where you are staying and how mobile you will be, those two may not be the best option for you. The courthouse is near downtown, so I would try Up In Smoke in Uptown (www.upinsmoketexas.com or 2222 McKinney Ave) or Cigar Vault (www.cigarvault.com although I have not been there yet).

Drop me a line we might be able to meet up, depending on your schedule.

Check out the "Where to Smoke By State" are on Club Stogie any time you are travelling. Here is a link to the Texas listings:

I believe a close store to where you are staying would be Montfort Cigars.. http://www.montfortcigars.com/. It has been quite a while since I was last there, good selection but out of the way for me now. My last visit I had a bit higher sales pressure than I have ever encountered in a cigar store, but not so unpleasant to stop me from going back.

It might take you a 30 minute drive, but I would highly recommend visiting 2 Brothers. If you take Woodall Rogers to 75 North up into Plano, 15th Street Exit, head East on 15th. Turn Right on Avenue K (south) and at the SE Corner of 14th and K is the store.

Look up Colters, Dickies, Sonny Bryans, or Spring Creek for your BBQ. Depending on what you will be eating one is better than the others but they are all good.

Thanks all for the advice. I will try 2brothers...its only 25 mins drive from courthouse. This isn't cigar related but I also want to bring back some liquor from Dallas:

10 Cane Rum
Margaritaville Island Lime Tequila
Pyrat XO Rum

Any good liquor stores in Dallas. I went online and found a place by the airport called Goody Goody Liquors. Goody Goody has all that I require in stock but they give no prices. This a good store?

I dont drink but my wife has too and Goody Goody and Spec's are liquor warehouses. Not stores, but warehouses. Warehouses known for volume and prices. If you like liquor those are good stores. Grab a shopping cart and go up and down all the aisle. Make a day of it.

I'm in Dallas right now on business! I'm leaving today though and didn't have time to get a smoke in. It sucks.

When I was in Dallas last year on business I was right down the street from this place:

Cigar Shop and More is located at 4285 Beltline Rd. in Addison, TX. For more information, call 972-661-9136

This was a nice little shop. They have a nice lounge area with poker tables cards, chips etc. recliners for the video game players and a decent selection of sticks.

As a bonus, there are 150+ restaurants in a 2-3 mile radius. Fogo De Chao is also right across the street.

have fun.

Two nice shops in the DFW area that I have enjoyed are En Fuego in Rockwall and Old Grapevine Cigar--I believe this was the name--in Grapevine not too far from Bass Pro Shop. Also, if I remember correctly right next to Old Grapevine Cigar there is a Winery that had some pretty good wine.

Hope this helps,

Jay

Yeah that's a nice little shop...but if you're ever in Addison again, there is a better shop in the area. Addison Cigar & Tobacco off Addison Road. Basically east of the store you mentioned. :)

Friendly people, plasmas, mini-bar, and it's HUGE. The walk-in is probably 3x's larger than the one mentioned.
