Davidoff - worth the drive?

I'll be receiving my coaching stipend in about two weeks and I've decided to dedicate a very small portion of that check to a few high end sticks. I've never tried a Davidoff, but I've read plenty of good reviews. My little B&M has never stocked Davidoffs and probably never will. Today I found a B&M that seems to have a decent selection of Davidoffs. Problem is, the store is 97 miles from my house.

Would a couple Davidoffs be worth the time, energy, and gas money....or should I turn my back on these sticks?

My vote is not to listen to what anyone says here, and make the drive. No one will be able to tell you if it's worth it but you. Personally, I want to try it all and Davidoff is one that's on the top of my list of MUST TRYs. Maybe you want to try others that are more attainable with ease, but eventually, the slope will have you sliding about 97 miles.

Absolutely...definitely...do...NOT drive that far. Do you know how much gas costs? PM me your address instead.

Yeah, the cost of gas makes me regret buying a truck every day. Very generous offer, but I can't do that...those sticks are expensive.

I've got a great idea. Lets setup a small herf while we visit czartim recovering from the ass-kicking he's about to receive.

czartim - Keep holding out, maybe we can get a couple herfs in before you "comes-to"

Go get him Raider!

I would drive 97 miles to buy them and I have some and have smoked a dozen already. Just don't listen when the voices in your head tell you to max out your cc.....The good thing is , you will have a nice smoke for the ride home! :tu

One way or another, try and get your hands on the Ani no.3 and the original 2. The no. 3 is probably my favorite NC, or at least right up there depending on my mood.

Honestly, I think 97 miles worth of gas is not so worth it, I'd rather have it fedexed from a Davidoff store lets say like the one from NYC. where the over night would cost you much less then the gas, thats what I think.

Davidoff is a favorite of mine. I like the Millenium blend robustos, but any size will do. The Diademas Finas are another top notch smoke in my opinion.

Would I drive 97 miles just for a Davidoff? Probably not. They are easily obtained through the Davidoff store or Famous SS. I would drive many miles to check out a nice smoke shop though.

The excursion sounds like fun. Believe it or not I made a stop in Geneva in the 70's just to visit the Davidoff shop and set up an account with them. As a result of that event I enjoyed a steady supply of very special cigars until I gave up smoking. (obviously that didn't last.)

Those cigars were by far the best I have ever smoked. Of course their cigars have changed since then, but they are still wonderful.

And yes, they are easy to come by from Holts among others. Enjoy them in good health. Larry.

i would say yes, IF you like mild bodied smokes, if not, still yes, because the drive will be good, and you get to check out a new store.

My advice is make a day of it. Get in the car early take breakfast near said B&M hang out for a few hours and then have lunch and head back.

I am a big fan of Davidoff special editions, I think every one of those I've had is excellent. The regular ones, not so much.

Only 97 miles?
For a Ann. #3 I would walk it!
Only if
I could not get them on-line shipped to my front door. :)

God I love that cigar!
