Devil site!

So thanks to THIS devil site I have discovered the other devil site. I am probably overpaying because I have won all but one auction I have participated in. I am not too good at research or price shopping so I probably should not be playing around there.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, so which is the real devil site everyone's talking about and which is the other one about which you speak Rolando? Forgive me, I'm still relatively new to all of this, especially when it comes to cigar auctions.

If you're winning at that rate you are probably over paying. I would make a list in Excel of what you would like to buy and add these things to your watch list on CBID. Track the selling price of each item over the course of a few weeks or months. Then I would never bid over the lowest amount I've seen them sell for.

I would also stay away from the VSG, Padron Anni's, and the higher end sticks as these almost always sell for more than you can get them elsewhere. The higher end Fuente's and Padrons I typically would get from Taboo Cigars using Rob's coupon codes in the retailer section of this forum.

I'd check joecigar.com daily if you are looking for any of the Pepin blends. They have done deals on the black labels and the white label every so often that puts them around $3/stick. Wait untill it's the deal of the day and stock up. As far as I'm concerned, it's impossible to beat 20 DP Blacks for $60.

Yeah see that is the kind of thing I am not good at. I bought gas today and I have no idea what I paid per gallon. If I am overpaying I am overpaying I guess. I don't usually sweat the small stuff. I should probably stick to standard sites though.

I can take comfort in the fact that while I may be overpaying I am probably also annoying the shi*t out of the regular bidders.

I have descovered the secret to winning on the devil site. Lose your job. I lost my job after a week of heavy bidding. I won it all. I got some great prices on them but really wish I wouldn't have spent the money. I have plenty of smokes to last untill I find another job though. :tu

The biggest problem I have had with the site is I buy lots of stuff I have never tried. Most of the better sticks that we all like here go for about retail. I have bought some serious dog rockets. I have a box of Esteban Carrera coming and haven't heard anything about them. We will see if it was another c bid miss. Hopefully they will be good enough to smoke while on the mower.
