Do Not Use PayPal for Anything Cigar

:sb PayPal restricted my account for 180 days for selling tobacco products. They’ve seized my $150.00 that I had in the account and I won’t be able to buy or sell using that account for the 180 days.

I would suggest anyone who intends to trade cigars not to use PayPal, as you can imagine the inconvenience of having your account seized and not being able to withdraw your own money.

I’ve heard the PayPal scans forums and the titles of your sales, and they take a nice percentage of all sales, so I would suggest avoiding them all together.

According to PayPal, you should- as it is part of the "User Agreement" and that they can seize your money as well...

When you say seize, do you mean "hold" or "take away" your money? If the money is forever gone, I'd be fuming.
 
Typically, if I'm using paypal for purchases they wouldn't approve of, select the "Services" as the reason for the payment. No further explanation is necessary, unless it's changed since the last time I used it. The only problem, is you need to know who you ae trading with, because you basically have ZERO protection, by doing it this way.
 
Some of the filthiest porn I have ever had in my possession ws procured through payment with those idiots. Now they are clenching their collective anus's over cigars?

Guess who just cancelled his Paypal account. :mad:

Hold my money. I was forced to buy one of their funds so I'd get some interest on it...

Say anything other than something tobacco related. I wouldn't even say "sticks." I'd list something equivalent in value as the funds being transferred.

Also, since the transfer is not eB@y related, there's no buyer protection. Keep that in mind if you're not buying from a trusted source and you get screwed.

Been burned by them once allready, but they only shut me down for about a week before I could rectify things.

Everyone please take note: Do NOT mention anything about tobacco or cigars in the comments section!!!

why does Paypal care that you're using their service to buy tobacco?

Do they care about buying tobacco related products like pipes and humis too?
 
If you simply say the name of the cigar and sold by box or per stick they will never find you. They use keyword when they do their searches. I found this out the hard way as well.

Probably just a way to cover their asses from lawsuits. In case some youngin' buys tobacco products.

It's not that hard guys. It really isn't. DON'T SAY ANYTHING!!!!!!!!

The only thing you have to do is select 'Goods' from the drop-down. That is all.
