Do you remove the wax paper/ribbon from cabs?

I tried using the search function with very little results. My question is, is it better to remove both the ribbon and wax papers found in cab sized boxes (such as the various cohiba siglo/robusto's) or to leave them as is for long term storage? The reason I ask, is i'm afraid that the ribbon may absorb some of the oils given off from the cigar and that the wax might somehow blend itself into the cigar. I know MRN states that it is best to leave boxes intact as is but I don't know if that includes the removal of the ribbon and paper. Any help is much appreciated.
 
I pull all of it out. Not for any reason other than just because I don't want to fiddle with it everytime I try and get a stick out of the box.
 
I leave it all, the ribbon is nice because I can pull the whole wheel out while grabbing a cigar instead of having to use a finger nail on the foot or the cap of the cigar (and then lower it all back down into the cab easily). I leave the wax paper to help "seal" in the oils and flavors. I wouldn't worry about the wax paper "blending" with the cigars...

I leave it all on as well. Among other things, the wax paper can help "seal" the environment more, so if you're looking to store some stuff long term, it will keep more of a steady artificial internal environment in the box.
 
I go both ways on this. If I have more than one CAB of the same type, I'll usually leave the ribbon, paper on one of them that I won't touch for a while and take everything off the other that I'll be periodically pulling smokes from
 
For me, another reason to leave the ribbon on is that in general without it, the cigars don't fill the cab since they move into the corners. Loose cigars in a cab can be damaged over time as the cab gets shifted around. I prefer a nice tight bundle until it's broken for smoking, or until enough cigars are removed that make the ribbon pretty much useless.

Yeah, I noticed that immediately after I tried to reorganize my siglo 2,3,4,6 and the cohiba robustos!! No matter how hard I try to place them in the cab, one or two always stick out :sl. The 50 cab boxes I don't seem to have problems with. Anyways, thanks for the suggestions and comments as always guys :tu.
