Only time I smoke in my car is when I light a cigar from a B&M which is about an hour away and keep the windows slightly craked to avoid a fogmobile. Still it's funny when people look at me with a big old stogie in my hand or mouth.

I smoke in my Jeep with the windows down. My gear from the FD usually smells worse than a cigar, so between one or the other it usually is not a pleasant smell on a humid morning at 7am.

I smoke in my car but not my wife's.
I empty the ashtray between smokes & leave the windows open whenever possible when I'm parked. I also leave my car overnight in my garage with all four windows open. Seems to do the trcik.

I did once and it took days to get of the lingering smell. After that, no more for me. I found that I didn't enjoy the cigar as much either.

Same here on a long ride home once a few summers ago, even with all windows open and doing about 70 mph on the highway, still stunk to high heaven for weeks. Never again.

My buddy had a jeep many summers ago, and with the top off off, no doors, smoking a cigar on the way out for the night, great memories.....

I spent a lot of time in my truck so I do smoke a LOT there. I keep a spray bottle of Febreze to kill the oders. I t works fine the wife don't complane .

Took me about 20 months before I broke in the new truck. Now I smoke whenever I have a ride of 45 minutes or more.

I use the Bobken car ashtray....I empty it when I get to my destination and put it in my tailgate, and a shot of Ozium in the truck when I get home. It never smells like cigar smoke the next day.

Sure do. I keep a bar of soap under each of the front seats and it seems to work just fine. Nothing can hurt my ghetto blaster. :)

i do smoke cigarettes in my car, but not cigars. at least not very often. ive got a convertible, so the top is almost always down, and i dont enjoy a cigar as much if i got all the wind and stuff in my face. since the top is down most the time, i dont get the smell of smoke in there anyway.

for you guys who have the stink in your A/C, if you change your cabin filter, and that doesnt help, you might try this > http://www.detailersdomain.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=41

ive never used it, but i have heard many good things from people who have.

I have done it a few times, but I found it was not all that enjoyable. The smell went away after a few days, but I prefer to sit and relax while I am having a smoke.

For me, it is relaxing. My normal commutes don't encounter much traffic, so when I take a drive which is longer and I know I will encounter some stop-and-go traffic, the cigar relaxes me and I don't get as frustrated in the jam.

:tpd::tpd:

I used to have a hooptie and a 1.5 hour commute (each way) a number of years back and the cigar I smoked (each way) helped ease my frsutration and put me in a most relaxed mood. :tu

Though I used to smoke every time in that old car, I've sinced adopted a cardinal rule about not smoking in my A6. The one time I did however, I was sitting on the waterfront, windows open, enjoying a Davidoff Special R and a cappucino when about halfway through the cigar a rainstorm came ashore and forced me to roll up the windows to continue smoking. Afterall, it was a Davidoff - I'd never throw out a Davidoff. I'd either eat it or I'd finish it, but I'd never throw it out! :r

Only took a couple of days of open windows for the smoke to dissapate.

I get most of my smoking done in the car, but then again I drive a wrangler with no doors and a bikinni top so the smell really doesn't stick around.:tu

Not on any short drives. I keep a few on hand if I come across roadwork and slow down/ or stop I will lite on up. Right now there is a lot of construction between MI and WI.

I do on long drives.

:tpd: Usually, I'll keep the windows cracked while I'm driving. If the weather and situation allows, I'll keep the windows down when I get to my destination and spray the interior down with Fabreeze. I kinda' enjoy the faint odor of a nice cigar afterwards. (Almost no one else does though ...)

For the longest time I swore I wouldn't, but since I about drive between 500-800 miles a week I couldn't hold out any longer. Part of that was that I bought an 07 Ford Fusion and I wanted to keep it as "new" as long as possible. I usually smoke about once or twice a week in it. When I do all windows are down and I ash it out the window. No lingering smells or odors, keeps me relaxed when I'm 2 hours from home after shitty day :tu
