Do you smoke while driving?

I have tried to smoke while driving. Can someone tell me the setup?

Windows down, special ashtray, air conditioning? The several times I have smoked the smoke seems to be an issue.

Do I just need to practice, practice, practice?

I think my years of cigarette smoking (I've quit since) prepared me for this.

I keep the window cracked when going fast. If I come to a red light, I like to roll it all the way down and then roll it back up when I'm moving again.

You'll need an ashtray for this too. You don't want to be ashing out the window lest you go through your stogie quicker and/or accidentally ash all over your backseat.

I try to keep the stogie close to the window so the smoke escapes easier, but not so close that the wind is fueling the burn.

I think they make special cup shaped ashtrays for cars, but I just use something that's handy and try not to burn myself.

As far as air conditioning, I turn it on if I'm hot. :D

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the tips on smoking while driving. I think it is a perfect time to enjoy a smoke. I will pick up an ashtray suited for the car and then "work" at perfecting my technique. :ss

If I have more than an hour to drive on the highway, I do. Got the tips on how to do it on here a while ago:

1. Fan on max, blowing at your feet ONLY. AC or not, doesn't matter. Edit: NO recirculation, either.
2. Crack driver's window ~1 inch. If you can feel the wind blowing back in the car, it's down too far.
3. All other windows CLOSED.
4. Cigar bobkin, as already mentioned.

The moving air outside the window creates lower pressure, and the air blowing at your feet creates an updraft; it sucks the smoke right out the window. I do have leather seats, but even if a non smoker gets in my car a couple of hours later, they can't tell.

I almost always smoke when driving if its over half an hour or so. I will usually smoke a Fuente Short Story or something like that. On long trips give me a Partagas Aristocrat and I will drive you to the end of the world or well to the end of the Patty, anyway.

No. I smoked in my last truck and it always smelled. I swore to myslef when I got my new truck that I wouldn't smoke in it.

Smoke on the way to work along with a mug of coffee. 30 min drive. Usually a mild smoke like 5 Vegas Gold or a Double Happiness.

I smoke in my truck often, choice of sticks varies with how far I have to travel. Window/AC settings vary with sticks too. Fired up an Anejo Shark and closed the windows. It was great. Most of the time, I have all four windows cracked and AC on - provides decent exhaust, but not too fast.

I don't really care for the stale next day smell either, but febreeze spray works very well for me. :2

I pretty much do not smoke while I drive. I like to have a cocktail with a cigar and you need at least one hand to drive.:tu

Nope! Seeing as how my 33mi drive usually takes about an hour and 15 to 30 mins, I'm working on getting a herf mobile.

90% of my smoking is done in the car.

I have about an hour commute home from work on most days and that's usually perfect for a petite corona or robusto.

I also do the air at the floor/driver's window cracked thing.

And I don't care about the smell for I am "Master of my Domain".

A couple of fabric softener sheets under the front seats works wonders.

I usually smoke a cigar on the way into work, about a 30 minute commute.

Keep dryer sheets in door pockets, cargo nets, under floor mats to keep your car smelling pretty good. Febreeze the seats and headliner, clean the windows every couple of months in combination with they dryer sheets and people will never know you smoke in your car.

I just went down to the garage to start up my winter car and it still had the nice essense of a trip to Canada in it. Quite enjoyable.
