I remember a long time ago when money was tight and nothing was wasted, I used to watch my Uncle smoke his cigar to the nub and then pull out his trusty pipe, push it in and finish it off. :ss:pp

Just wondering if anybody does this?

I have never tried this myself.

A friend of my dad's chops up the nubs of his cigars and keeps the tobacco in a jar and smokes it in his pipe...that sounds disgusting to me, but I guess money is money...
 
I crumpled up a damaged cigar and smoked it in a pipe to see how it would taste. It tasted just like the cigar but slightly different. Cigars smoke better as cigars. :2
 
I would think the nub of a smoked cigar would contain a whole lotta nicotine and other nasty stuff that collects during the smoke. I think I'd pass on finishing it off in a pipe, frankly.

I have done that with...........................................but that was in high school
 
I've got a pail of nubs (and maybe some spider eggs) on my balcony that you're more than welcome to if you decide to give it a shot. I might be up for a trade of some sort ...:ss

Shit! Money is money, but I wouldn't do that if I was on food stamps. :dr
 
I would think that as long as you smoked it contiuously, like you describe in the opening thread, assuming that you didn't chew the hell out of the nub while you were smoking, that it would be just fine to finish it up in a pipe.

Saving them for later, though, well, that's just nasty.
 
I don't think I would really want to do that. I can understand money being tight and wanting to get all the enjoyment you can out of a cigar, but I don't think I would go that far. It just doesn't sound enjoyable to me.
