Does anyone hate the Gran Habano Corojo #5 as much as I did?

Well at least one of you guys had the same experience that I did. But I really appreciate your imput, and I'll def. give it another try. I have a GH Conn. in my humi, any imput on that smoke?

Very mild but very good construction and taste. I have smoked them in the morning with coffee. Just thinking that the chemical taste that you and another poster had might have been due to over humidification. I too dry box all of my #5's before smoking. Good luck with the #1.

Maybe overhumidified as others have suggested - and maybe you just don't like corojo. How do you feel about DPGs, which are predominantly corojo wrappers?

I haven't tried the DPG's yet, I just got the Blue Labels and I'm probably gonna try that one tonight, but i have had corojo's before and I enjoy them very much. Cusano and Punch Rare were great smokes. I think the problem might have been the humidity....

Well I get home on Friday and a package is waiting for me :)

Big thanks to TRIOLENT. I'm gonna let these rest for a while and give them a shot. I didn't expect to try the whole Gran Habano line! Well, hopefully this Gran Corojo #5 is better than the last. I will post a review in a couple weeks!

PS now I gotta send Triolent a case of "The Champagne of Beers"

The "Rare Corojo" Punch isn't really corojo, but Sumatra seed.

I have noted a certain acridity from time to time in the Gran Habano #5 & I am fond of powerful cigars. Perhaps I need to revisit the box I've had for a few years.

This was a cigar that shocked me when I smoked my first one. I figured it was going to be a mediocre cigar and I absolutely loved it. I've had a few more since then and my opinion hasn't changed. As we all know everyone has different different tastes/preferences....
