Either this is very hard to to, or I'm bad at surfing

So, I live in Canada. And I've been trying to find a Canadian online store that sells cigars. While the US has great prices, having them shipped not only costs more, but there are massive taxes, brokerage fees and tobacco tax tacked on top. Does anyone know of any Canadian online stores that sells cigars? I realize they will be more expensive, but at least all the taxes will have been dealt with when it was already imported to Canada, and there won't be brokerage fees, and the shipping will be lower. Thanks in advance!

There could be a very real problem with mentioning on line Canadian vendors publically since they would also be selling cigars that are not legal in the United States. Naming of those vendors is against board policy. Hopefully someone familiar with any Canadian vendors will contact through pm or off board.

If he is in fact in Canada Paul,he is fine seeking this information...

order from taboo!!!! I ordered a bunch of stuff and it got through the border without any additional taxes or duties. If it shows up at your door with a massive cod just refuse the package and have rob ship it out again. I'm fairly certain that won't happen, though.

You should also know that Canadian retailers whether online or not cannot ship cigars interprovincially. Since tobacco taxes and duties are provincially governed it is illegal to ship tobacco across provinces if you are based in Canada.

From previous post of yours I knew your were screwed, but that's just criminal.

If you PM me your address I will check my database of Companies that might be able to ship to you. I need the full name and address as some of the retailers I know will want to do a search to make sure it is ok.

:D

Are you kidding me? Cannot ship interprovincially? Wow, what luck we have. Sure, Canada may have the advantage of cubans, but at the cost of an arm and a leg?

I've started looking into US retailers again. I spent a few hours and I seem to have found the best prices on cigarplace. I'll see how it goes. I'll wait till the 1st of June to get in on that $1 shipping :tu

Not completely true, even though he is in Canada, we still can't post links on the Forum for companies that sell Habanos, regardless of their ultimate desitination. :)

I actually ran into that thread shortly after I started mine. I was determined on staying within Canada, but I guess not anymore. I have found cigarplace to be a seeminly good store from that thread.

One cigar I really want to try (because of all the praise at the price) are the La Tradicion Cubana Churchill. Unfortunately, I am having a next to impossible time finding a store that sells these outside the US
