El Rico Habano Club

Dead Man Walking
I have to first note I have become a huge fan of the El Rico line of cigars. Love the construction, flavor and the fact that they are a full bodied cigar.

I decided to pick up a box of the El Rico Habano Club's. Up to this point I had sampled almost all of what they have to offer and have a number of boxes in the humi. Since I wanted to find something smaller and quicker to smoke than it's larger RG brothers I went for the Club. The Habano Club is a 4 7/8 x 48 cigar. I took one straight from the box...had to fire it up. Love the wrapper which is rough & veiny. Draw was perfect and the burn was as straight as an arrow. Flavor wise, spicy, sweet with hints of leather & pepper. I took this one down to the nub without a bit of bitterness. The cigar took nearly an hour to finish. Perhaps I have burned out the old tastebuds a bit as I had expected a full bodied cigar like it's brothers but found it more medium-full. Either way it proved to be an excellent cigar, I'd almost call it and the whole line of El Rico's overlooked jems. But be warned, the El Rico's are not for the faint of heart. Some of the larger RG's will blow your socks off.:ss

BTW these carry a pretty decent price. I picked up a box of 25 from Holt's for $64.95.

Yeah, no shit about the socks. Blow with a capital B L O and W! It is a good cigar, but the vitamin N is way over the 100% daily allowance.

John, as we discussed I have been smoking these for a couple years now and they are a big secret. I think most people are afraid to try them because they are not for the weak. Great review!
