I used to have a deal with the groundhogs. they could tunnel to their hearts content in the empty lot next door, as long as they left my lawn alone. They respected my space, I didn't kill them. They broke the nonaggression pact. There will be no surrender for the gophers.

yeah, especially with some crazed getaway driver at the wheel, with a touchy clutch, one headlight and strange dudes knocking on random doors and accosting innocent couples in their golden years on what used to be a quiet walk.
