Favorite Music to enjoy while enjoying a good smoke?

Blues and cigars go together like ham and cheese for me. I usually find an online blues radio to listen too, since there is no good stations around here.

Mostly Jazz, but I'm usually listening to or playing/practicing Jazz for most of my waking hours. :tu

Portishead.

I usually smoke out on the deck. I turn the surround sound on my tv way up, and either watch something interesting like UFO Hunters, or pop a cd into the dvd players. Portishead is great for chilling and being "thoughtful." Something similar (in that it's dreamy/moody) but with more of a rock edge is Team Sleep, fronted by Chino of Deftones fame.

Movie Soundtracks are great too, especially if you're feeling particularly epic. Sin City, Last of the Mohicans...but the greatest soundtrack of all time has got to be Conan the Barbarian.

jazz works. some electronica also does the trick, like Air, or Boards of Canada. no intense music, just something calm

I've been into Buena Vista Social Club lately. What better than a fine smoke a mojito and Cuban Jazz.

I'm wishin' I was in the backyard now.

:tpd: Buena Vista Social Club or any of its members, for example Compay Segundo or Ibrahim Ferrer

Hmm, I like Deftones too so I will definitely check out Team Sleep. But as for Portishead, any of that kind of music from that era really sits well with me - Tricky and Massive Attack being the other two of similar flavor. Sometimes Lamb also, but it's not as relaxing.

Anything Miles Davis, Coltrane, Hancock, Jarrett and once in awhile Hendrix's "Band of Gypsies". Otherwise, out on my porch listening to the desert in the AM.

Favorite smoking album - Opeth - Damnation

Also up there-

Dream Theater - Images and Words
Between the Buried and Me - Colors or Alaska
