First Nicotine Buzz from a Cigar

The Coronado double toro gets me every time. I can handle 99.9% of the sticks out there but that one nails me every single time.

The first cigar that really knocked me down was a ISOM Montecristo #2. I was about to get into my car when I just lost all sense of balance and my vision blurred. Was over in two minutes, but still, that was intense.

I get a huge buzz from Dunhill EMP, but that is for a different thread :pp

I smoked a Camacho in a jacuzzi once! Didn't realize the buzz till I got out but literally felt like crap for a full day. Haven't been in a jacuzzi since!:ss

The only thing that I've really felt a nicotine hit from so far was a Camacho Tenth Anniversary. A couple weeks after I started smoking cigars regularly there was a Camacho event nearby on my birthday. I knew Camachos were strong so I ate and drank a bunch before I went and it still had me a little woozy.

Leon Jiminez torpedo once knocked me around real hard and the stomach was tore up for a good 4 hours - will never have another one of those again and the ironic thing is I'm told they're not any worse than a strong Camacho or Olivia which didn't phase me - I believe it depends on the conditions outside (if that's the case, especially with heat) and what and how much you had to eat prior to - luck of the draw in some ways.

I know I am going to be trying "again" to quit smoking cigerettes, and picking up cigars just might help me more this time.
My thoughts were...since my body has already been aclimated to nicotine I prolly wont ever get the buzz. Or will I? I have not tried anything really strong yet, but I plan on it soon.

Are there many here that smoke cigerettes as well?

Michael

I think the first time I :pu from a cigar is was a Gurhka...which is why I kinds of shy away from them. :D

:r Russ (rck70) had the same issue with a Gurhka Regent I trade with him a short time ago.

I had only been smoking a month when I had 3 or 4 cigars new years eve of '06-'07, 2 of which were a Padron anniversary maduro and an Indios Puros. Didn't get sick but sure got a bit light headed.

I still smoke cigs and still inhale cigars. trying to quit cigs and inhaling.
The only stogies that gave me a buzz was the Padron 64 principe. I think I smoked too fast.

OK I found another remedy for that funky "getting queezy" feeling.....FUDGE POPS!!! During the CyberHerf I smoked up my Tat White Lable waaaaay to fast... an Advil + Fudge pop made me feel all better!

I think I totally underestimated that little cigar. It knocked me for a loop. I knew I was in trouble when after I got down to the last 3/4 inch and things started spinning around me. It was only about 20 mins later that I tossed up all of my dinner.

I learned to respect those Nubs from that moment on.

Now when I smoke, I smoke slow enough that I can figure out when the nicotine is starting to really hit me. I stop, regardless of how much of the cigar I have left, when that moment arrives. I figure, I'm doing this to enjoy myself. And praying at the porcelain altar isn't really enjoyable.
